Vista bellissima sui tetti e sul lago d'Orta. Personale gentile e veloce. Piatti curati con ottime materie prime, menù corto ma giusto. Buona selezione di vini. Mi è piaciuto. Al piano di sotto c'è la versione gourmet del ristorante di Monesi (1 stella Michelin). Prezzi giusti per la qualità e la location. Dolci top

Ne vale davvero la pena, piatti al livello di uno stellato anche se è un bistrot. Scoperto per caso passeggiando in centro a Orta S. Giulio, abbiamo pranzato nella terrazza del bistrot del ristorante stellato Locanda d’Orta. Ogni piatto, oltre all’ottima presentazione, è l’espressione di una importante ricerca sia in termini di materia prima che di tecniche di preparazione. Abbiamo provato sia carne che pesce e tutte le proposte ci hanno lasciati soddisfatti. Tiramisù e cheesecake buonissimi. 5 stelle anche per il servizio e la location. Lo consigliamo per un pranzo di altissima qualità.

The view over the lake is simply impressive. Good service, really nice food, the perfect closing for a wonderful walk across the old town and visit to the fascinating San Giulio Island. We were four guests, ordered two degustazione menu and separate dishes for two children, with wine abbinamento a total of ca. 300 EUR all four (year 2023). This is a bistro in a hospitality restaurant & rooms boutique building with a Michelin star, located at the heart of the old town in an amazing place. A hidden jewel worth a visit.

Was worried given some of the other reviews here… but our meal was lovely. The restaurant is located on the roof- above the started ‘locanda’.. This is one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever had a meal on front of Antipasti were very tasty, interesting flavour combinations, good portion sizes Tagliatelle with cod and ravioli ‘three roasts’ were perfect. Service was delightful. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again

We had an absolutely delightful meal here. The rooftop location has spectacular views at sunset and was very romantic. The service was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers (poached egg in truffle potato cream and the tartare) were excellent. The tagliatelle with cod was perfectly al dente and delicious. Mains (fish and squid) were also very tasty. One of the best meals we had during our trip to the lakes region.
