Una cucina incredibile con un propietario di una gentilezza eccezionale, menu a scelta dello chef ( mare o monti) ed un prezzo ottimo. Lo consiglio e ci tornerò.

Literally the best food I have ever had. I'm almost sad that I have to come so far to have it again. No menu, no sign on the door. Vivaro simply asks if you want fish or meat, then perfection begins.

Gennaro is exceptional! He's here to show you what the south is all about. He puts his heart in his food and it is so evident (this is a 1 man show). If you're fortunate enough to sit in one of the 10 tables in the restaurant, you're in for a treat. Best meal, experience, and atmosphere this entire trip.

En lisant les différents avis, nous avions réservé pour y dîner. Nos adolescents ont choisi viande, et nous poisson. Nous avons également choisi Vin Blanc et eau plate. Nous nous sommes tous régalés. Il y a deux ou trois plats, plus un dessert, qui n'était pas particulièrement remarquable lui. Finalement, pour 30€ par personne, et 20€ la bouteille de bon Vin local, c'est un bon rapport qualité prix, vue la finesse, par rapport à la région et par rapport aux prix pratiqués en France!

Lets get this out the way off the rip. The place I'm about to tell you about is a small and unassuming wine bar on the main road in Praiano. It also was the best dining experience of my life. No contest. I've done ballin ass caviar topped and truffle infused nights in Manhattan. I've dined in the hidden spots and invite only local favorites of small towns across America. I've enjoyed the fams outstanding deep fried turkey, candy yams, gooey baked mac n cheese and rustic collard greens dinner a thousand times and loved every drop of that dank grub that's been labored over with undying love. Basically, I been about this life for the last 5 years. Did I mention that I cook 3-5 times a week and am the Cooking Club instructor at my school? Not tryna gloat, just make it crystal clear I'm not on the bandwagon ridin wave. So, back to Vivaro Wine Bar. This place is run by this rough around the edges, great if you get to know him, guy named Genaro. He's the man. But he's about his craft. You walk up in his spot and got 2 options: Fish or Beef. Surf or Turf. He's gonna check you. He's gonna ask if you know what he's about, what he does here. Just say yes, take a seat and let the master go to work! Remember that Praiano is the small fishing village of the Amalfi Coast, so fish is a must unless you hate seafood. If you go with a boo or a crew, then you guys can pick both and try a little of everything. Let's just say that we had dinner here 3 times on our 9 day stay. Our 1st night, our last night, and once in between. 3 separate 3-5 course dinners. I did not complain once. He paired our food to his surplus of wine perfectly, and we had one of the most amazing sunset dinners. On our last night on the Amalfi Coast, we went to show love to our favorite new restaurant. My wife and I agreed the last piece of fish he prepared for us was by far the greatest dish of my life. The steak he made was just a hair below that. 2 through the roof dishes before we left the perfect getaway vacation. No matter what you're eating, drinking or doing, you can always look at a person and know if _____ is the best you've ever had and we both looked at each other in awe while eating that fish and steak. Price tag runs about 50-100 Euros depending on the wine you get. We were on our honeymoon so we spared no expenses and thank the heavens for that because we walked away more satisfied than we've ever been.

We have been to Praiano numerous times and Vivaro's never lets you down. The "wine bar not restauarant" is charming and has no menu! But don't be concerned, the food is unreal! But be patient and enjoy the wine, Vivaro is the front of house, chef, waiter and bar man. The food is well worth the wait!

Lovely dining experience. The best spaghetti marinara I've ever eaten. Great low-key decor. Highly recommend this place for dinner in Praiano. Thank you!

In a sea of restaurants with the similar menus, Vivaro is a beacon. Not only is every course unique, every wine delicious, but it's all cooked by one man, working his ass off but never breaking a sweat nor failing to give every customer his undivided attention.

Amazing atmosphere, fresh clean Italian food and great wine. Gennaro's passion for food and wine make this a truly lovely dining experience.
