Posto bellissimo, soprattutto quando il tempo è bello. Cibo così così.

I found this farm by accident as I never visited the area before, usually sticking to the classics such as the Chianti Classico area. I simply fell in love with the place, the views and the people. The villa is also a rare example of well preserved interiors which weren't destroyed or "modernised" just to fit fancy tourists. It's like going back in time, to an age full of elegance and taste as well as simplicity, and it was a real privilege to visit it. The '700 garden is also unusual, different from the typical geometric Italian gardens which you can look at but not really enjoy and live; it is more similar to the English garden. Nearby there's a country resort, once the rural village where the farm's workers used to live. Nice views from there too although the resort is a different management than the farm and villa/farmhouse and my five stars are for the latter (farm and farmhouse/villa Il Frassine).

We stayed there years ago with another family and had a great stay. It’s the middle of nowhere but really a short drive to town or Florence. Had a very relaxing stay.
