Ottimi piatti a base di pesce e dolci, consiglio spaghetti con alici, prezzi medi.

Ottima cucina con piatti particolari e ricercati servizio eccellente prezzi accessibili, gestito in fine da una simpaticissima e competente titolare.

Locale accogliente, vista mozzafiato e materie prime di altissima qualità cucinate con maestria dalla chef. Consigliatissimo!

Excellent quality and service! After a terrible microwaved meal in the main part of town we headed out in search of something more authentic. There was a steep climb to reach the restaurant which was totally worth it. A lovely waitress saw to us and was able to offer items off the menu since I had a dietary request for a vegan option. The food was excellent and good value for money compared with what you'd pay in the more touristy places. Some of the bad reviews here surprise me, but I'd certainly say it's better to try here than get ripped off in town with frozen, microwaved meal!!

Ausgezeichnetes Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Hausgemachte Pasta, köstlicher frischer Fisch und traumhafte Nachspeisen, bei gemütlicher Atmosphäre fern ab vom Trubel, was will man mehr.

I have to give this place a 5 because it is the best experience in Rio I have had. The other places along the tourist area were really not that great and overcrowded. This is a little out of the way but worth it. If you are along the water and can't find a table give this place a try. It is up in the mountain area about a 20min walk front the train station. It is quiet and a very relaxing environment. The food and service was top notch. I had the smoked swordfish wrapped in cheese for my first dish for my second dish I had the rabbit with fresh vegetables. Both were excellent! The area is known for its fresh seafood but I've had seafood for the last two days so I was willing to try something new. Don't settle for the fried fish or the take-home pizza tried to try this place. The price for the total meal including a glass of wine and a cocktail was €40.

Our experience here was quite satisfactory. The food was very good, and the service from our waiter was acceptable. Nothing here wowed us, but we were not disappointed. We were largely let to enjoy ourselves. This is near the top of the mountain town, so it will require a bit of a hike if you aren't staying nearby. Unfortunately, you aren't rewarded with any awesome views once you get to the top. I got spaghetti and meatballs (how unsophisticated, I know) and the local greens. The pasta is cooked Al dente, something I'm not a fan of, but considered normal.

This restaurant "Cliffs of a sun" was our choice for 2 of the 5 nights we spent in Riomaggiore. The food was excellent and the atmosphere calm. Our waiter on both occasions was the wonderful and very charming (I'm talking Bill Clinton levels here!!) Eduardo. He added immensely to the atmosphere with his quick wit and Italian language suggestions for my wife! I'd be surprised if you have a bad experience here. If you're after a view from the restaurant you'll be able to see up the hillsides but your view down the Riomaggiore valley will be blocked by the road out the front (not very busy at all) and the parked cars. Anyway you'll have memories of good food, wine and great service. Enjoy!

Really nice little restaurant. Eduardo provides amazing service, though everyone else seems to just assist him. Means you'll be waiting awhile for service at times. This place has some absolutely amazing dishes and some average ones. Follow Eduardo's recommendations and you'll have a great meal. We ate here twice, first time went with the recommendations and had an amazing meal, second time we tried some other dishes that sounded great, although whilst good they were lacking compared to others. Still highly recommend this place and it's one of the best in town!
