In the mood for flavorful, authentic Mexican cuisine? Taqueria La Loma is your match! When we first arrived, we were a bit overwhelmed by the large crowds and tight squeezes. But once we got to our table, we were continuously pleased with bold flavors, fast and friendly service, and incredibly reasonable prices! We started with a classic strawberry margarita and a Modelo to drink, easing our way into the dining experience with some chips, salsa, and queso. The chips and queso were pretty standard, but the salsa was genuinely one of the freshest and best we’ve had! La Loma was voted best tacos in Ohio in 2019, so of course we had to give them a try — we choose two beef and one chorizo. The meat was fresh and excellent quality, and the chorizo especially packed a punch in terms of flavor! We also tried the beef chimichangas, and WOW were they yummy. Overall, if you’re looking for a locally-owned, authentic experience with quality food, this is your place!
My friend took me her and it was so much more than I could ask for! 10/10 would recommend! The Pastõr is my new favorite. I will forever compare my tacos to Taqueria La Loma tacos! Stellar!!!
Got the trio of Birra tacos, and they are fantastic. Best I've ever had. Like, just look at them.

Wow. Seriously some of the best food I have had in awhile. I had the birria tacos. Divine!! And if you are like me and miss new Mexican posole the. The birria broth will soothe your soul.
I have eaten at La Loma since they were a little food truck in the plaza a little down the street. They have been and will always be my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Ohio. Even bigger named places can't hold a candle to the food that comes from this kitchen. They have continued to improve their facility by adding more seating/more store products/more food options and so much more. I have yet to find a single thing on their menu not worth the money.
The only thing I would say was a down fall and that is if I have to pick one is they tend to have stuff on the selves in the store that are expired so always check but other than that everything from there is amazing!
As you walk in you’re faced with a food kitchen counter window to place your food order. Very casual.
You seat yourself to a dining room table to your left, greeted by a server whom brings your beverage. Great Micheladas, good Margaritas, great Table Salsa and Chips. I’ve enjoyed on several occasions the Carnitas en Salsa Verde, the Chile Relleno, Several Chicken Main Courses, and Queso Fundido.
This is as authentic as you will find in Ohio and 95% of everyone eating there while I was there was of Mexican heritage. I eat here every time I’m in Akron. So glad I found this restaurant
Yummy! Service is fast casual - order at the front counter and the server will bring your food to your table. Order adult beverages at your table from the same server. Spend a little more for the Gold margarita.
They also have a carneciera (butcher shop), a bakery and a food store.
Don’t miss bakery item: The cream-filled pastry horns! Buy some to go fit your breakfast.
