A childhood friend of mine from Tennessee came back to Akron to visit. He told me before he left Tennessee that while he was here that he wanted to go somewhere and have one good breakfast.
I live near Portage Lakes, and I had driven by Woody's many times and saw many cars parked around it, and some of my friends had been there.
I had never been there before, but I decided to take him there.
You did not disappoint him. He loved it, and was very impressed with the food, and quick service.
Very easy going staff. A lot of regulars go here but they did not treat this new person differently. The staff was very attentive and wonderful I definitely want to come again!
I recently moved to Akron and wanted a “mom and pop” type place for breakfast because they always have the best breakfast. Woody’s did not disappoint! When we arrived shortly after nine it was PACKED! Not one open table. We waited for maybe 10 minutes and that shocked me because of how packed it was. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The service was prompt and the food was AMAZING 🤩 I got your basic eggs, bacon, and hash brown plate and my boyfriend got “the terminator” it was opened biscuits with hash browns, eggs made the way you want, sausage patty’s, topped with sausage gravy. It was all very delicious 😋
From arrival to departure we were here for an hour and that was very impressive for how busy it was! Breakfast was half the price of your big named places too! I highly recommend if you like home cooked food.

The BEST chicken strips I have EVER eaten in my 45 years on this planet. Great staff. Highly recommend this place for a very reasonable priced meal.
first time I've ever been to this restaurant, pretty small place, and when I went here it was on a Sunday morning and they were very busy. but the prices were very good, I got biscuits and gravy and I believe it was under five bucks and it was the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had in my life. I was told that all their food is great so I'm definitely going to be going here a lot.
Wonderful place to eat. Great service, great food, great prices. We eat there every Monday for lunch and spend under $10 for a meal.
I've driven by this place for years, but I never went in because quite frankly I thought it was a bar. Instead I found that it is an excellent place to get a breakfast. I've been back three times now.

Called for take out on a day off, service was fast, food was good and staff was friendly! I must say the place was packed and everyone says it is a really good place to eat breakfast and lunch! I couldn’t disagree!
They always make me eggs and home fries just like I ask. Quick and pleasant staff.
