I am a fan indeed. We went here as a quick lunch stop for work shortly after they opened. My boss got the green chile burger and I got the breakfast quesadillas. Bacon, hashbrowns, cheese, egg, salsa, hold the chile. The tortilla was crisp and just buttery enough. I was so impressed with my quesadilla (a standard go-to of mine) that I suggested it as a breakfast spot with my parents a few weeks later. My dad got the 3 meat omelet and once again the breakfast quesadillas made their appearance for me and now my mom got the chance to try them. I was equally as impressed this time around. Sometimes it's hard for me to find consistency among restaurants the 2nd time around and I've tried other breakfast quesadillas in town, only to discover that others won't compare. However, it wasn't one of my dad's favorites
Jimmy’s is always our go to when running errands. We usually plan the errands to make sure we are close for a great meal. We have never been disappointed in breakfast or lunch. Great food, great staff.

After our regular Friday Morning trip to the dog park, partner and I were looking for a meal. However, it's now in between breakfast and lunch. We often end up at Golden Corral or Twisters. I tapped on "Open Now," in Yelp. Jimmy's popped up. We had not been to Jimmy's Cafe in years. We used to go on an occasional Sunday. Traffic from the near-by mega-church was off putting. But this is Friday! Let's try them again.
Jimmy's has the same menu that I remembered. There are a lot of choices for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Prices have remained reasonable. At 10:30 in the morning, there's no wait, not crowded or loud and plenty of parking. (At peak times, these can all be issues.)
We were seated fast by a very nice server. We got huge glasses of water with lemon, almost immediately. Partner ordered the meat lover's skillet. I ordered the three cheese omelet with has browns. We both opted for sour dough toast. Our meals arrived, piping hot. The food was delicious. Partner thought his was a bit too salty-but there was a lot of bacon and sausage. His eggs were cooked perfectly. On the other hand, I found myself adding salt to both the omelet and potatoes. I regret not getting a side of green chile, as some gooeyness would have been good. The toast was good but a bit too greasy. All in all, a tasty meal.
One of the Friday lunch specials, is fish and chips. We're planning a return to try them. (Server said they are good.) As Howie K. said, Fox News is on but muted. We noticed that there is now a traffic light for the Sunday crowd at the church. Jimmy's has remained reliable.
7/6/17 Returned for brunch. Service was fast and friendly. Partner got breakfast Enchiladas with Carne Adovado. I got the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet. Both were delicious!
Great food and pleasant place to eat. Great breakfast choice. Had the Stevens breakfast and loved the chili. Omelet was well done and tasty. Country music playing at a nice level in the background. I'm in
I had my first lunch along with a client at Jimmy's today and we were both extremely impressed with the food and service. If you want impeccable service, ask for Sherry. I left here a $30 tip on a $24 meal charge, which i never do. I had the meatloaf, which is the Thursday special and my client had a salad. I can not say enough about this cafe! This is now one of my absolute favorites in Albuquerque!!!
WifE and I had breakfast here this morning. It was excellent. She had pecan pancakes and I had Steves Breakfast, eggs,potatoes, chili and yum!
Just the right amount of heat. Filled us up for a day in the sun playing in NM.
No wonder Jimmy's Cafe is always busy. My wife and I ate breakfast at Jimmy's this weekend. I had Eggs Benedict with hash browns; my wife had a Denver Omelet with a fruit cup.
Both arrived well-presented on our plates. What I noticed immediately was that the food was not overly salty--making the food's flavor shine through nice and clear. Both dishes were delish, although next time I'll ask for the muffins under the poached eggs to be more toasted (I like them somewhat crisp).
Since my breakfast, I've recommended Jimmy's Cafe to my friends and others. You won't be disappointed.
Bacon green chili cheeseburger. I had a green chili bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and chocolate cake! I can't remember a better burger and great service!

Good place! I came on a Thursday morning for breakfast. It was almost empty. I liked the decor and country music was playing. The staff was friendly and I ordered eggs Benedict which was very tasty. The coffee came with a small pot which allowed me to do my own refills a touch I liked very much. I would recommend

WoW!. Well I don’t know why I haven’t been to Jimmy’s Café before nor really heard about it because it is out of this universe. The place is small and has quite a lot of character but the food is where it is at. The Green Chile Chicken Skillet has to be one of the best I have ever had….ever. The Huevos are dynamite and again the food is great oh and so is the coffee. The chile is unstoppable and Jimmy’s is one heck of a breakfast joint!
This small little cafe was very enjoyable, it's cozy. All the staff were Pleasant even the people that were dining there. When we got there they said our wait would be at least 25 minutes. I don't even think we waited 8. I really enjoyed how their walls are covered with movie history.
Jimmy’s is all about James, Jim, and Jimmy. There are pictures and posters of movies and everyone named James or some sort of nickname. The restaurant was bigger than expected. It was busy for a Tuesday morning around 9. I don’t know our servers name but she was super sweet and patient. Food was good quality and you could tell most of it was homemade, like the soup and green Chile. I have the Denver omelette, regular size. Good for an omelette. Hash browns were good but you can definitely taste the butter. It was a nice spot for a mid-week breakfast.
Randomly stopped in for lunch and my family and I are glad we did. We were sat down fairly quickly and they were busy. We got our food in a short amount of time and it tasted good for a good price. Definitely a place we will go back to. Loved all of the vintage pictures on the walls. Super cute environment. I had the Albuquerque Turkey, under sandwiches, but I had it as a wrap and my daughter had a quesadilla. Both delicious.
Food was really good and tasted fresh. The tortillas are great! It was a little busy but service was very quick and friendly. Good variety and affordable. One of our party asked for the table they were using as a break table without realizing it - we let him know later but they were really gracious about letting us sit there. Overall really good experience and well worth stopping at.
Great food. The service was excellent. The decor was awesome! This was a lot of fun.
The huevos rancheros is excellent! And the breakfast enchiladas with shredded beef where extraordinarily good! See pictures below.

Very yummy food and wonderful service. Our server, Hondo, was wonderful and very attentive. I am not used to new Mexican Chile and he was honest and said I should probably order it on the side and I am so thankful he did! Very spicy Green Chile. I got the southwest eggs Benedict and my friends got the California omelette. Both items were affordable especially for the price.
Great food! Was busy when we got there, but we were seated very quickly and our food came fast and hot. Our waiter Augustine was amazing.
I travel a lot for work and enjoy trying local restaurants. Jimmy's Cafe on Jefferson did not disappoint. My server Lisa, was very friendly and had a few recommendations when I asked.
The coffee was fresh and hot and I had plenty of cream and sweetener available to use.
I ordered a Chorizo and Egg Burrito (Lisa said the regular size was quite large) so I ordered a Small. I also added a fresh cinnamon roll for dessert.
The burrito came out and it was more than I could eat! Even the small could not be finished by this guy. Lisa did tell me that the green chile sauce was the hotter of the two choices (red was mild). It added a great New Mexico taste to a very delicious burrito. The eggs were fresh and the chorizo had a great flavor as well.
I highly recommend coming to Jimmy's Cafe On Jefferson. Great atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Great job team!
I have lived in Albuquerque a long time and never heard of this place. Was looking around on the map to find some local spots and decided to try it out today. This place was bustling! It was very busy but we got a table within the time frame given and the food was amazing. The service was wonderful and quick. The Jimbo club and the French Dip were wonderfully made with many selections of bread type and sides. Will definitely be going back to try the breakfast soon!
I've been coming here for 20+ years. Consistently excellent food at a great price point. The interior of the restaurant is starting to look very dated. Otherwise, an excellent value for what's offered. The green chili chicken chowder is among the finest foods I've had - and I've visited over 10,000 restaurants in my lifetime. It's a clear standout in the metro area with a great mix of American and New Mexican fare.
While visiting ABQ I make it a point to stop in. I'm consistently annoyed they don't sell the soup by the gallon and ship it. Well priced for the value of the food offered. This is what Wecks wants to be yet fails miserably at achieving.
