Outstanding food and great environment. I tried the pick 3 appetizers and the patty melt. The deep fried mushrooms are think and to die for. Patty melt was out of this world. Thank you, Spectators #outstanding
Great food for a Sports Bar. My wife and I are frequent visitors and love this place. Our favorites are the Buffalo Wings (best in town), Creamy Green Chile Soup, the Cashew Chicken Salad and the Hot Sicilian sandwich. Yum yum!!
Go see Steve the bartender! He is one of the best bartenders I've ever had the pleasure of being served by! Todd the manager guy is really cool too! Great staff and always a fun time!
Best Customer Service in ABQ. We went on a Saturday night to watch the LSU game. The Bar Manager, Troy, made sure our game was on a bigger TV, moved us to a closer table, and made sure that everything I ordered was Gluten Free (which I never expect at a sports bar) the server was attentive and friendly. We will be going back!

Re: Hatfields vs. McCoys. Hi everyone. My name is Sarah, and I do work at Spectators. I was recently told by one of our regular customers to check out our reviews on here, not just to see the good reviews we have received, but also to see one posted by an employee at a neighboring bar & grille. I can tell you, for a fact - after asking customers and employees - that the review in mention (by "JustMe") is NOT an employee at Spectators. The truth is, we all have friends that work at our neighboring bars - and we all know how hard the economy and other factors are affecting our businesses. We all want to do more than make ends meet. And, to be honest, if we didn't all have friends working at competitors, I doubt any of us would want to do harm to another business, local businesses are the heart of our economy.
So, I will say this: I thoroughly like the other bars in the area. I've always dealt with friendly people. If "Andy" feels the need to make mean assumptions and accusations, a restaurant review site, doesn't seem the best way to handle it. If "Andy" is upset by the reviews, perhaps he/she should be more focused on what a customer says, rather than accuse the review(s) to be the responsibility of a competitors employee. Let's all truly be honest, servers don't like to hurt other servers, $2/hour isn't much to live on (that's why we always tip more than 20%).
I hope people can continue to use this page for what it is intended - to give honest reviews, rather than treating it like "twitter" or "facebook" in an attempt to make people/places look bad. Regardless of what you review friends, remember, your review has an impact not just on the establishment, but also on each of its employees. Good times and good luck to everyone :)
Cheers feel bar. I love going to this local bar to watch my favorite sports team or just to have beer and catch up w/ friends. Most everyone is friendly and willing to meet new people. If u love the Lobos, this a great place to watch the games. They have 40 TVs, shuffleboard, pool tables and on some nights they have beer pong tournaments. The wait staff is fun and they usually give you excellent service.
Great!. I love this bar! It has great food and awesome service! It has an "at-home" feel as soon as you walk through the door and there are lots of smiling faces. I used to only go there on Sundays to watch NFL, because with that many TVs you can see every game. But, after being treated so well and thoroughly enjoying myself every time I went in, I now frequent it a few times a week. It's the best local watering hole I've been to - and I've made quite a few new good friends there, too. The bartender always remembers my name and is usually pouring my drink as I belly up to the bar.
This is another of our favorite local bars, it's a great place to go and shoot some pool, have a drink, do some karaoke, and just hang out. Great burgers too!

Albuquerque's "Cheers". Spectators Sports Bar & Grill is definitely a gem of the city. There is no other place in town like it. When you walk in, you automatically feel at home, friendly faces and excellent service is abundant at this tucked away, little-known, bar and grill. They have a big menu with a wide variety to choose from (including vegetarian options) - and for the carnivores - the ribs are fantastic! They have a full bar and friendly bartenders who are genuinely happy to see you. It's always entertaining, with about 40 TVs, all major sports packages, you won't miss a game/event in this place. And they have pool tables, video games, shuffle board, juke box and buzztime trivia and video poker. And, they also have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights. Honestly, this bar, and the service, leaves nothing to be desired. Find everything you want, meet friendly new people, enjoy a drink and a meal and find yourself feeling like you imagined the people at "Cheers" felt. If you want an honest neighborhood bar - consider Spectators your best bet.
A very pleasant Sunday lunch experience!
My wife and her father have an early lunch most Sundays, seeing that Spectators opened at 11:30 on a Sunday morning was good news!
The atmosphere was very chill, a few tables were occupied and the wait staff was friendly. Service was quick and the beer was cold!
I selected the half rack ribs. Very nice! Meat was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious, sweet and savory. Sides were also good, crunchy onion rings and succulent cole slaw. My wife had a very tasty Frito pie and her father, a cup of creamy green chili chicken soup which they reported as very good.
The atmosphere was very pleasant for dining, good music and an attentive server. A great choice for an early Sunday lunch!
my cross country running group (Albuquerque Hash House Harriers) used this place as a beer stop on a run. Staff were friendly, place was clean, bathrooms well maintained. We all congregated outside in the fenced in area (see pictures), good place for a bunch of sweaty people. Beers were of quality with many to choose from. Food looked good, I know for sure the nachos were outstanding. Lots of TVs for your sports day/night. Stop in tell them their Hasher friends sent you. One of those bars that after going for awhile everyone will know your name
We went last Saturday and the food and atmosphere was absolutely AMAZING. We were especially impressed with our server Emily who was incredible. The hospitality and everything was second to none. The karaoke was fun as well. They have it on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm-1am. The only negative isn’t their fault, but with such a popular place, you don’t get to sing too much (3-4 times max)
Great place for good food and great kerioke. Our server "angel" was amazing. She was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and drinks and she was very professional. I will also say that it is very clean and spaced out. I will definitely go back and request angel as our server.

Had a great time at Spectators! This place has the best fries in Albuquerque: hot, crispy and thick. I got the Mexican (tortilla) burger smothered in red and green chile, and it was delicious and very spicy. Some decent beers were on tap as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some great comfort food. Looking forward to trying some more meals here!
I might just be drunk every time i go, but the food here ALWAYS slaps.. (That means it's really good, ya boomers..)
The staff has always been down to earth too, which is refreshing af. No one there is a Karen (except the Karen's that go as patrons, of course) so if they cut you off you know it's not to be mean, just trust that you shouldn't have anymore.
My Dad used to take me to this place when I was a kid. Although it's been updated along the way to keep up with the times, this place is still as awesome as I remember it being 27 years ago. Great food, great service, cold beer, and enough TVs to never miss a sporting event. Get the fries!
This is a great place to eat and have a drink. Nikki provided excellent service with a friendly smile. The menu has a good selection of things to eat. My order was excellent tasting food. Food items cost will not put a dent in your wallet.
The pancakes were great. I got the fajitas and they were really good too!
