Honestly, unless your expectations for a small neighborhood pub are completely unrealistic, it is impossible not to like Shooter's. It is a Cheers-kinda place, where the staff knows your name and what kind of beer you normally drink. It is not upscale food, you won't find fois-gras on the menu, but solid, well-prepared and filling plates. Nightly specials make for good options, half-priced wine bottles on Saturdays, and others little things make Shooter's a nice, unpretentious, and satisfying place to enjoy a meal, a game, or a drink.
Best Burgers in Town. Shooter McGee's has the very best burgers in town, and on Monday you can get them for one-half ($1/2) price. Many named burger templates are offered, but you may create your own. My favorite is the South Western ( Canadian bacon, cheese, tomato & lettuce with hot BBQ sauce ). I'm told that they mix ham with the beef.
A neighborhood restaurant for me. Looks like there's a new menu a new chef. One of the new dishes was Mushroom Risotto with Grilled Chicken. Not outstanding but good nonetheless.
