Great service. We came in late night. Got great service and great food. I would definitely recommend the French fries. Kelvin was great!!!
Great Club Sandwich. My experience at the Stage Door Deli was good, and I decided to try the Virginia Ham Club Sandwich. It was honestly one of the best club sandwiches I have ever had. The place is nothing fancy, and the menu is a fairly typical older deli menu. That was my first time eating there, but so far so good, and I'll definitely try them again when I have the chance.
A Sandwich made with love!!. My husband and i LOVE this place!! We're greeted by the same friendly smile each time we go and all i can say is, it rocks! He knows what we want as soon as we get in the door, and I have to say he makes each sandwich with love. In fact I'm so addicted to the Turkey Rubin, we go there once a week. And we love to take friends and family because we know they'll love it too. FYI don't sit and wait for someone to take your order. This is a deli. There's a big ol menu on the wall and you order at the counter. THEN you can take a seat, he'll cook your sandwich and bring it out to you :)
Such a laid back chill environment....hard to find in this area. Don't go if you're looking for some fine wine and fake service providing constant attention; leave this place for people like me and my hubby :) we love it just the way it is!! REAL

We had a Reuben on rye and a club sandwich. I recommend both. The French fries were really good too!
Best Turkey Club I’ve ever had! The man cooking couldn’t be nicer. I asked him to use his discretion for certain things and definitely was the best move. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

Came in at midnight, a bit tipsy, asked the cook for dealer's choice, whatever he wanted to make for me. He was super nice, said go grab a beer in the next room and food will be ready. Did so, came back, and am currently eating the best sandwich and mozzarella sticks of my life. Amazing service and food, will be back anytime I walk by the shop

After buying some foot surgeon-suggested shoes and inserts at Pacers Running, I walked around King Street in Old Town hoping to find some non-chain deli for something for lunch. Not knowing what had survived the COVID pandemic, I was thrilled to find Stage Door Deli, practically just across the street on the same block, a place I had only seen when it had been closed outside its business hours. Its menu was posted outside on a window.
So for the first time ever, I entered, ordering two Philly Cheese subs ($7.49), made of sliced beef with sauteed onions and provolone cheese. The cook was very friendly, and we chatted while she prepared and cooked. It’s the kind of place you’d expect for a grill place, with everything from breakfast meals to hot food sandwiches, from healthy to not so healthy.
I took the subs home for two of us to eat. They were awesome and really exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to return to have more of those and to try other menu items. Forget Subway; get your subs (and more) from here!
