Delicious food, huge portions, great prices & friendly staff! The platter I ordered came with spaghetti, meatballs, gnocchi, ziti & stuffed shells. My plate probably weighed at least 6lbs & I had enough leftovers to eat 2 more times. Everything was amazing, but the stuffed shells were my favorite and I find myself craving them often. I HATE hamburg and avoid eating it at all costs... But I totally shocked myself & my family when I ended up eating every bite of the meatballs that came with my meal! They're that good!
Smalalmwait time to be expected on a Friday night but worth the wait. Service was good staff is friendly, food was served timely and hot! We enjoyed a glass of wine and salad with great house dressing. Dinners were delicious and I had leftovers for another meal. Love going to Lena’s for gnocchi
Homemade spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs. Get it.
It's amazing!! The food is always hot and delicious! It's not that expensive for the portion size and quality. Definitely recommended
This is an old family place that's has been passed on to family. I like there salad dressing and sauce. Price is a bit high. I like allot of sauce and always ask for extra. I have read some bad reviews on here. I myself have never had a bad meal hear. No the decore needs an up date so bad! I know the sauce is not as good as when Lena was alive. I don't go as my h ad u used to I can't spend 30.00 + for spaghetti... It's an old Altoona restaurant trying to hang on!
Tired of the franchise restaurants?. Then you should try Lena's. Okay, yes it's not in a big fancy building, but don't let that fool you. When I want lasagna this is the place to get it. It's about 3 or 4 inches high full of cheese! This is the only place I will get lasagna. The meatballs are homemade and are very good.
I don't know what these other people were expecting when they went. But don't listen to them. Give it a try for yourself.
Best authentic Italian food beside my late Italian great grandmother! The staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is that of welcoming you into their home. The homemade noodles and fantastic and the sauce is scrumptious. I would not only recommend this place but I would give it 5 stars.
Old School Italian at its Best. If you've got a craving for red sauce, you've come to the place at Lena's! The food is good, consistent and even much of the pasta is homemade (try the whole wheat pasta on Thursdays).
The cost is a bit more than I think it's possibly worth, but I still go in a couple times a month.
Decieving appearance. Bland, brick building in a neighborhood area. No windows. Inside is 1 large panelroom. Everyone turns to check you out when you enter. But the food (Mostly Italian) is good, and they have a full bar. Lots of repeat/regulars. Family friendly. Closes too early. Would go myself, but may not take friends here, it's not for everyone.
Best italian food in central PA
The food and service was really good! Felt bad for the waitress because she was the only one and it was super busy. Despite that she was super attentive and quick with orders and extra needs. Food was cooked well and tasted fresh and the bread was even better.
Great atmosphere and provided wonderful service. But, the meatball was cold, which really was a let down. It won’t stop me from coming back here again, I just wish that the meatballs were as hot as the sauce. The overall food is good, but I don’t recommend the garlic bread.
Can't beat the local Italian place - best meatball sandwich ever.
Seven of us ate dinner for a birthday celebration. Food was amazing. Recommend the chicken parmesan and coconut cream pie. Service was fantastic.
The finest Italian food in the area.
Like 60+ years in business.
Made in house.
Food was really good, service was great, prices were good, but they need to do a little updating.
Excellent diner style food service was the best in town close to the Crossroads. Must visit n Rich history.
Best Italian food around. Most like we make.
