Voted #1 for a good reason!. No blandness here. These guys are passionate about their product and refuse to kick out a "assembly line-stock hot dog". The taste alone satiates these guys from any hot dog in the area. And their sauce is steadily becoming a thing of legend.
Their expertise isn't limited to hot dogs,though. But they offer a variety of good food. This includes a ham sandwich that they call "Gargantuan". This is, simply, the best ham sandwich in the city, if not the entire region.
These guys get it right, and they care enough about the customer to offer something that actually allows the taste buds to work. Give me a try and you will not be sorry. Everybody else needs to step up their game.......not their prices!
Best Hotdogs Ever. I love this place. So much better then Texas Hotdogs or Death Dogs from Sheetz. Great prices and super friendly staff. So good, I brought my mom here to try it.
Had some pretty good hotdogs here. Their special at the time was a heck of a deal! I really liked their fries, the sauce, and cheese. Would definitely come back. Had a weird environment though, felt like a grungy bar in the daytime.
OMG! Food is excellent. Thank you John for continuing your amazing recipe. I used to go over to the bar when you had it on 4th st. My parents used to go there. We lived right across the street! But even as a young kid I loved your food!
Nice little shop. Good size selection.. my kind of little sub sandwich shop. Brought my little girl here for a quick lunch. I Like a place that she can run and sit down at a table while I other. Feels safe.

Best hotdogs in Altoona. Staff is awesome and very welcoming. Too bad I moved out of Altoona because Huntingdon has nothing for hotdogs beside Sheetz. I need to make a special trip to get some.
First time at the pier. I loved the spice of the "classic" dog. The fries were great. A very tasty lunch.
Great hot dogs they have a nice bite if u get the hot chili sauce, tacos are very tasty, and just tried a hoagie delish. Great family service and atmosphere.
