Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I swore I'd never set foot in Altoona Popeyes ever again...that was right around 2 years ago. My husband and I decided we were gonna give it another chance because 2 years is a long time. What a delightful surprise we had. The place is under new management. Abraham and his staff were friendly and efficient. The chicken was spot on and spicy. If you haven't been here recently, I suggest you give it a try. I feel certain you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank you Abraham for turning this place around.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to give the young lady working the drive thru props. It was Friday at dinnertime so it was fairly busy. We waited for awhile before she greeted us through the microphone, apologized, and asked us to pull up to the window. There were a couple cars in front of us. We heard the driver of the first car yell angrily before pulling off into a parking spot, so we had an idea that things were not going well. As we sat waiting for the car in front of us to get served, we considered just leaving, but there aren't any Popeyes where we are from, so we decided to stick it out. When we got to the window the young lady apologized for the wait and explained they were having some issues. She said it might be awhile for our food because not only was she taking all the orders and payment, she also had to cook the food. We ordered meals for 5 people, paid, and pulled to a parking spot, prepared to wait for awhile. Less than 10 min later, and she was at our car handing us our food with more apologies about the wait and situation. The order was completely correct, the food hot and fresh. I would like to commend this young lady for her kindness, professionalism, and poise under pressure. She did a fantastic job and exceeded expectations.

The food was good as always. But I bought two 10 pieces and they were 10 wings among the two boxes. The thing I loved the most was the cashier was very sweet. She had a genuine smile, asked how my day was going, and listened to the answer. She was very friendly and made me smile though I had to wait for a while for my order. That is the kind of customer service we all wish we could have every time.

Wife and I were done with Popeyes after several times getting terrible chicken then we heard they under new management so we gave them another try, Best chicken we have had in a long time! Got it home and it still was scalding hot and cooked to perfection. Great job guys I just hope you stay consistent.
