Hi! I’m Ron Lind, and I’m rolling out all across thls land, searching for America’s greatest Diners, Drive-In’s, and Dives! On this trip, In Altoona, Iowa, a city best known for Adventureland Resort, and as a bedroom community for nearby Des Moines, is a joint I heard of that serves up authentic BBQ food! It’s called Jethro’s ‘n Jake’s Smokehouse Steaks, and this place is the bomb! BBQ brisket, 3 ways, including burnt ends, with two sides and a cornbread biscuit! And the beer 🍺 is served in mason jars! C’mon in!
