Located in the corner of a strip mall, I was worried when I walked in at 1145 and very few people were at tables. Soon after noon, party after party walked in and by the time I left, most of the 11 booths and 9 tables were full, which is always a good sign. Not a fancy looking place, it serves the purpose of give 'em quick food and move 'em out. Everything Under the Bun does do lunch specials - chicken livers, pork chops and roast beef was among those served the day I went - but the focus here are dogs, burgers and other sandwiches. Now, you can get normal burgers and dogs, but they do offer some items with a twist. Think Elvis' peanut butter, honey and banana on a burger or hot dog (The King), or a nice greasy spoon breakfast on both (Jam It Up), to name a couple. For me, since they served Nathan's dogs - it's hard to ruin Nathan's - thought I'd go that route and try something cheaply. Two dogs for me: your basic kraut and mustard dogs - kraut lightly charred on the griddle is so awesome - and (don't judge me) a Jam It Up. Yeah, it seems like what you might get if you let your 7-year-old son come up with a new idea for a hot dog, but I gotta tell you, this works: lightly toasted bun, a spread of grape jelly, fresh-cooked bacon, weiner, then on top a scrambled egg and a layer of American cheese (Not bad, I'd ask for cheddar next time). It really does have the feel of a quick breakfast all mixed together. I'd do it again. Or I'd try The King.

The fried pickles were fantastic and were a very large portion. I ordered a hamburger that was cooked to perfection along with the fries. The fries were crispy on the out out and soft in the middle. Very happy with the experience here.

This is one of my most favorite restaurants! I try to get something new every time, but it's hard to not get my faves, like the Reuben burger,...oh so good!!! I only get the chips because they're made in house and are super fresh! I always pour ketchup in the middle of the ranch and dip my chips into that concoction. :)

Phenomenal hamburgers. One of the bests around. Finally got to try this restaurant. I live in Winston and every time I visit Asheboro, it’s on Saturday and they were closed. Not anymore!!!! I will definitely be back. Love your burgers!

Remember your mother’s classic homemade food that you couldn’t get in a restaurant? This is the place you can get it. The onion rings blew Dairio out of the water. The atmosphere and service make you feel like you’re back in your mom’s house again. They never let our sweet tea get halfway before they immediately refilled it. Kind, down to earth people that took the time to make you feel comfortable. This is one of the best local secrets of Asheboro. They have kept their prices very affordable even with the outrageous inflation this year and they haven’t sacrificed quality. If you eat here, be decent and tip them. They go out of their way like most restaurants don’t nowadays.

I will be completely honest - I know not to judge a restaurant by the outside or location. Some of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at have been sketch looking as heck. This is one of those places. It's in a strip mall that you can tell at one time was really nice, but like all strip malls, it has kind of hit its peak and is now just meh. However - However, friend, what isn't meh or sketch is the food. The food was straight up on point. 1. I got the New York dog, add grilled onions. As they say in NYC, "This is incredible!" Not too much of anything and the onion rings were perfect. Not mushy. Not cold, not those weird way too much breading and just a whiff of onions. They were great. 2. My youngest gremlin got a "mini" cheese burger and fries. There was nothing mini about it. It was a burger for a full, grown up adult. His fries were so freaking good!!!! Hot, fresh, and not overcooked. I will definitely be back but the next time, I'm bringing the spousal unit and letting him give a review on the chicken livers. 10/10 would recommend.

The workers are very friendly, lol. Really good food for the price, and a definite place I'll be visiting again if I am ever in the area.
