I came to TRU for a weekend brunch. It was a really nice and open atmosphere, and I was able to get seated right away. I ordered the Nutella pancakes, berry french toast, and home fries. Also ordered an Americano and a mango smoothie. All the food was so delicious!! And the portion sizes were very good for the price. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a nice Astoria brunch spot.
The food was amazing, the service was okay but very slow, we wait like an hour for the food and almost 30 minutes for dessert but the server was nice and very attentive. Coming back for the brunch!
Ambiance (4/5): The inside is bustling with very loud dance/party music! Be prepared to be yelling to converse with your table guests. Very trendy. When the weather gets nicer, they open up the glass walls and the whole establishment is open.
Service (4/5): We had an attentive service during our $20 bottomless brunch but we could have used more refills on our tiny champagne glasses. The food came out pretty quick after ordering.
Food:
Pulled pork benedict (4/5): The pulled pork was very moist and seasoned well and elevated your standard eggs benedict. I had requested that my French fries be cooked well done but they came just the same as everyone else’s and not crunchy whatsoever! The fries are very bland and are thick cut.
