My girlfriend brought me and my daughter here for Father’s Day and we had an amazing dinner.
It was our first time trying this spot. My take - feels like contemporary take on soul food classics and in my opinion, they got it right!
The Food:
Southern Marinated Fried Chicken with Macaroni & Braised Collard Green Roll, Hoisin Glazed Oxtails & fried rice, and a mushroom & collard green pesto pasta.
All where very good, tasty & flavorful.
The bartender made a set of cool and well-balanced cocktails, which alone are worth a visit to the bar.
The staff is friendly and attentive.
Worth a trip and I’ll be returning to try their brunch.
This restaurant has excellent customer service. Our waitress knew each ingredient and spoke so passionately about the menu. I ordered the duck which is served with sweet potatoes and collards-great pairing! I did wish that the food came out a bit warmer and the duck skin a bit crisper than what it was but I still managed to enjoy it. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich which she said was good. We also had the drink special which I found to be refreshing. I look forward to returning to try other menu items.
Everything was amazing from the staff down to the food. My mom and I split the most popular items. The food wasn't heavy at all. It was definitely well portioned. I didn't feel overly stuffed but very satisfied. I would highly recommend.
