Sangarita's Tapas & Wine

I absolutely LOVED Sangrita’s Tapas Wine! This little section of Bell Blvd has so many great eateries & adding Sangrita’s to my list has been my pleasure. I love the Latin music (Reggaeton/Salsa/Merengue/Bachata) & the service was stellar. **JUAN, you are an amazing server, host, & manager. ¡Te amo mucho!** The food: I have been twice & ordered the Tapas. Delicious & great small portions for those who like to sample & try a taste of everything they have to offer. The chorizo-stuffed mushrooms, Chicarron con platanos, yucca fries, croquetas de mariscos, & the meatballs were delicious! A decent sized bar for drinks & a downstairs to rent for slightly larger parties. Overall: 4.8/5 Food: 4.7/5 Service: 4.5/5 Music: 5/5 Sangria: 3.8/5 As always, the parking on Bell is “first-come-first-serve”, I recommend coming early or driving around towards 215th ST to find street-side parking. Enjoy your meals, everyone!!

We had such a fun and delicious night at Sangaritas! The sangria was perfect (not too sweet) the food was so tasty, and our waiter, Walter, was the best! He made us laugh and gave great suggestions from the menu. The minute we walked in the door we felt so welcomed and it was a great dining experience. I can’t wait to go back and bring more of my family and friends to enjoy this gem on Bell Boulevard.

I came with my friends and everything was delicious, drinks and food. Ask for Juan, he is THE BEST!

My favorite restaurant in all of NYC, everything I ever tried was a 10/10. The atmosphere is fun and the management and waiters are super friendly. LOVE SANGARITA’S ♥️♥️

Is Sangarita's expensive? Yeah, but the price is fine for what it is. The service is terrific and the food is spectacular. Really. If you're a foodie, you'll be impressed. Guacomole: A A spicy / flavorful guac served with thick, homemade, crunch tortilla chips. Albondigas espanolas: B+ Nice meatballs. About 1.5" in diameter with a nice red sauce. Perfect for my 3 year old daughter. They had great texture -- not too meaty, and not too fluffy: the chef found the perfect meat-breadcrumb ratio. A more garlicky, less sweet tomato sauce (or more garlicky meat) would've nabbed an 'A' rating rather than B+. Croquetas de Jamon: B About 2" in diameter with a soft fried crust on the outside and soft mash on the inside. You get 4 balls. The texture is great but the taste is bland and too similar to mashed potato. It needs more flavor... I found myself wishing for more ham flavor, but the croquette was still delicious. Cauliflower Al Catalan: A My mom didn't care for these. Neither did my wife. Normally I detest food with raisins, but I *loved* this. My wife and mom said they were mushy and obviously boiled. Perhaps, but I'm a lover of creamed spinach, and this cauliflower has the consistency of creamed spinach. The raisins and almonds, while surprising, totally worked. Best of all is the oil sauce left over which is flavorful, tomatoey, garlicky. Have some bread still on the table? Soak this stuff up! It's culinary liquid gold! Paella De Carne: A+ If you are a paella fan, this will be one of the best paellas you've ever had. It hits all the high notes: * medium grain Spanish rice * cooked in a wide, round, shallow paella pan * a garlicky and flavorful sofrito * a savory liquid My favorite was the ending when I got to the leftover oily paella sauce that can be sopped up with bread: sheer liquid culinary gold! Chimi sliders: A+ Truly an A+ item. I've never had chopped meat that comes even close to this. The chef throws a TON of cilantro into these and cooks them on a high flame so that outside gets wonderfully char grilled and the inside remains beautifully tender and juicy. We spoke about these sliders for days afterward. I wish we could get an entire hamburger of these sliders! One of the best sliders I've ever had in my entire life! Soup caldo gallego: A Galician broth with a ton of kale? chard? collared greens? I couldn't tell which. Delicious and obviously an extremely healthy choice. I probably wouldn't be satisfied with just this for dinner, but it would make a great side dish or appetizer. Great choice for babies/toddlers. Churasco: A- Skirt steak. Soft, delicious. Not as grilled as the chimi sliders. While it's delicious, there's a lot of much more intriguing dishes on the menu.
