I was craving for bingsu (shaved ice) and dduk (rice cake). This place had both. What a perfect combination? Their bingsu was yummy. It was a traditional bingsu I remember from Korea. It was so good. If you are looking for sweet strawberry, chocolate, mango, etc. this isn’t the place. Their rice cake was really yummy too with lots of different flavors. Oh, ladies who worked here were so friendly and kind too. I am coming back!
I ordered rice cake to give to friends and family for my son's birthday. I previously ordered from another place but they cancelled my order on the day of his birthday because their employees didn't come to work. I called several places and called Yedang as my last resort. The lady that picked up call was very nice. She said she can't do last minute order however she can save rice cake she just made for me. I purchased rainbow ricecake, tri color rice cake, pumpkin rice cake & white rice cake.
The price is bit more expensive then other places but the taste and presentation are excellent. I would come back and re order for his following birthdays.
When I was visting Koreatown in Los Angeles, I got introduced to Sikhye (Korean sweet rice drink) and it was refreshing and delicious. Yedang is one of the few places in Northern Queens that serves Sikhye. It's in a bottle and it's good
Best Bingsoo ever! Shaved ice was made of milk and they added the condensed milk with all other toppings. They have about 4 kinds of shaved ice/bingsoo, and the original bingsoo was really good.
The Yedang also has a variety selections of rice cakes. The price is reasonable and worth paying the amount.
I would definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family!
The best Korean rice-cake place in NY. Try catering with Kyung-dan. Its really good.
Came to give Korean rice cakes to my aunt who lives on Long Island. It's not as high quality as Korea, but it's hard to find a place like this in New York. The packaging is very pretty, too.
Ordered the red bean bingsoo for take out which survived the trek home and was still delicious. The rice cakes were very fresh and just the right amount. Same with the red bean. Nothing was too sweet. I appreciated the perfect combination of textures. From the crispy jujubes to the slivered almonds. Definitely recommend. Just pricy at a little over $10.
Friendly staff and excellent customer service.
I had Ginger tea....I can't have the words to describe how delicious was....And the lady in the counter very polite and helpful....And if we had some music will be more happy...
Great Korean rice cake place. Also serves traditional Korean tea and porridge as well as desert drinks.
You can order rice cake for all occasions including B-Day.
