Fine Italian Fare with Customer Involvement. Papazzio appears to have everything in order. The victuals are mostly delicious. The cocktails are inventive and very potent. The desserts and specialty coffees are excellent meal toppers.The service that I have received has not been less than attentive and gracious. Why only a 78% approval rating at the time of this writing? Call me mystified.
The restaurant features special food and entertainment evenings. Papazzio goes out of it's way to cultivate a loyal clientele. With the complimentary bread, Papazzio serves a hummus spread laced with olive oil and ground black pepper that is addictive.
My favorite dishes are the gnocchi bolognese, sweet potato gnocchi, and rigatoni gorgonzola con gamberi. A macchiato and a tartufo is my idea of a grand finale.

This place is out of this world. I have read all the reviews and I have a hard time believing some of what I read. Either they have the wrong restaurant or they are just spiteful. Papazzio's is OUT OF THIS WORLD. I have been going here for years and here are several of the things I love about this place that seperates it from all others. The atmosphere is perfectly nice romantic candle lit table setting. The wait staff and bartender are more mature and professional than what you get at most restaurants. Dominick the owner is one of the most nice persons I have ever met, he is NOT cocky as some else wrote, he is not full of himself. Dominick goes waaaayyyyy out of his way for his customers, and he truely cares for all. Most restaurants you walk into the owner sits at the bar and collects the money, NOT SO HERE. Dominck is GENUINE. The food quality is superb, I have a taste for high quality food and thats what you get at Papazzio's. The chef has outstanding qualites, recipies and sauces. Proper etiquette is used throughout the dinner by the staff and you will leave feeling satisified. Also I had Papazzio's do my wedding and what they did to this day blows me away. OUTSTANDING JOB!!!! OUTSTANDING RESTAURANT!!!!

Ambiance is great, wonderful décor and soft music.
Our meals were absolutely delicious, our salads were fresh and entrees were cooked to perfection. Timing of serving was perfect, salads came shortly after ordering, entrees came after just enough time to enjoy a little bread dipped in a delicious garlic butter/oil mix and enjoying a sip of wine.
Server was very pleasant and attentive, checked on us several times and kept our water glasses full at all times.
Prices are reasonable given such a wonderful experience. Will definitely go back. Noticed a sign promoting $ 10.00 Pasta Night and ½ price bottles of wine on Tuesdays and Sundays, have to back and try that.
Truly a gem on Bell Boulevard, highly recommended. They have an "A" rating posted right in the window.
Great neighborhood spot. I've been going to Papazzio for at least eight years and find the last review difficult to accept. The food is always reliable at least, and often very good. The owner is personable, friendly and I have never heard him boast or talk loudly in the restaurant. The staff is always friendly, courteous, and efficient.
A great place to eat.. I had a really nice time here,and I can't wait to come back again. The food was excillence, and the serving was good.

One of the best kept secrets in Queens. I happened to be walking down Bell Boulevard and decided to walk into Papazzio to try their food, not expecting anything other than to fill my belly, as I was hungry. By the look of Papazzio inside, I expected the food to be expensive. I was presented a menu by the very friendly staff. I was suprised to see that the prices were reasonable for such a nicely decorated restaurant. I ordered the Rigatoni Messinase. I have to first tell you that this is one of my favorite dishes, and I tend to order this dish wherever it is available. It was the best Rigatoni Messinase I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and eager to serve me. The owner of the restaurant came to my table to personally greet me and to ask me if I needed anything. It felt as if I were being welcomed into someone's' home. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a great tasting Italian meal. You will definitely be made to feel at home from the staff and management. The food is great.
A Gem. This is a neighborhood gem. I have been going there for years. The food is great and the owner is wonderful always there to greet you and make sure everything is to your likeing. Thursday nite is jazz and you couldn't ask for a better place to be. Now on sundays they are serving brunch and you can't get any better. If you try this place you will be hooked.

Great Jazz on Thursdays. Delicious, original Italian and live jazz music. What more can you ask for? Good service? They have that, too. One of the best ceasar salads around. If you are a ceasar salad affictionado, you must try Papazzios.

The best place for gluten free food! My (now) husband and I were going Herr every year for our anniversary and decided we wanted to have a small wedding there last November. It was magical. Everything was perfect right down to the set up, the food, and the staff. They have me a dream mini wedding and we couldn't have been happier!
I recently hosted an event for 60 people at Papazzio and could not have been more happy with how it turned out. From the look of the space to the incredible food and service. So many of our guests approached me at the party to compliment the food and the staff. The owner even personally called me before to check in about how we wanted the space arranged. Cathy the manager kept checking in with me throughout the party, she even ensured all my leftovers were packed up as I was busy talking to guests. One of our server Darrius offered to help bring our things to our car after our event ended.
What a wonderful experience and will certainly do business with Papazzio again in the future. Highly recommend!

We hired Papazzio's Catering for our August 1 wedding and it was the best decision we made. We were one of the couples whose wedding planning was impacted by COVID. We cancelled our larger venue wedding and planned a 45 person outdoor reception in my parent's backyard just 6 weeks before our wedding date. We were looking up wedding caterers in Queens on The Knot and Pappazzio's was one of the first that came up. What struck us as interesting was that the contact information was for the owner himself, Dominick, listed with his personal cell phone number. On a whim we called it and the rest, as they say, is history! Dominick was incredibly thorough, incredibly patient, and we knew immediately we had made the best choice. Not only did he put together every detail of the catering menu (passed hors d'oeuvres with a buffet dinner) but he made sure every detail he could possibly be involved in was perfect. He came to see our location as soon as we had our initial sit down with him, measuring each of the rooms we'd use and ensuring his team and equipment would work. He provided suggestions on how best to set everything up given the limited space we had (and BOY did it look GOOD!), and on the day our party tent and rental company came to set everything up, he was with us for hours. He wasn't only checking the catering aspects but EVERY aspect. He helped us set up tables, he helped us measure everything to ensure we had proper social distancing, and he ensured he had the rental company's information in case there were any issues.
Because NYC had just entered phase 4 the week of the wedding, we were still very concerned with safety protocol. His team wore masks and gloves the entire time. The appetizers were all served in individual mini plates/cups so that no one would be touching another person's food. The buffet was all served by his team and we had hand sanitizer stations at the front of the buffet table so that all guests were as safe as possible.
Once everyone had sat down with their first servings (and we think just about everyone went back for seconds it was so good!), Dominick went around to each table to ensure everyone's food was just right, asking if he could get anyone anything. His personal touch was felt by all. Guests at the party kept saying, "I never had to get up to refill my wine or champagne glass, the staff always knew the right time to come and fill me up. They were there at the ready, but not in an invasive way".
We had the very best wedding day and never had to worry about anything because of Papazzio's Catering and Dominick. We're so forever grateful.
We wanted the $12 pasta menu (available Wednesdays and Sundays after 4pm) We asked for the menu and they insisted they didn't have it. But we were already there with a reservation with the whole family so we decided to stay. Spent more than double the amount that was intended. The chicken (in the Alfredo) was okay, could've tasted better and been cut better. 5/6 of us got the Alfredo (one got Penne a la Vodka, they loved it) and the chicken was all different sizes throughout. Everything else was fine though. If I go back, I'd just get plain Alfredo. Overall family rating: 4.5/10

Having celiac, it was great to find a place that all my family could eat yummy Italian and I could eat gf safely. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and tiramisu, they were delish. Everyone else loved their food choices. The servers were so nice and the owner was dynamic.
