Really great shrimp burrito with giant pieces of well flavored shrimp! Order at the front and they’ll bring the food to your table. I also got the arroz con pollo which was very tasty too but the shrimp burrito was definitely better imo.
A no frills kind of place and there was parking on the main street and the side of the building.
There were a few salsa and topping options with both mild and very spicy options.
Lots of people were doing takeout but they have seating indoor and outside at the front. However some people were smoking outside not too far away so if you are more sensitive or have asthma it was not as pleasant.

Move over El Grullense, El Metate is my new favorite taqueria! They have the full self service chips and salsa bar along with the spicy pickled jalapenos and fresh sliced radishes. The tacos are much bigger and tastier and the super burrito is un Gordo! Plenty of seating and attentiveness. They even have some bottled beers.
The food is great! The menudo authentic, and the facilities clean and well attended. When you go to eat here -- be hungry! Portions are generous and prices good. #TheBrokerWithAHeart
Solid spot a friend recommended. A good mix of sit down restaurant and hole in the wall taqueria. I tried the aguas Fresca de Piña and it was spot on. We also had numerous tacos de asada and one of carnitas which was quite tasty as well.
Love their food! Had the Shrimp Tacos, Fajitas and super deluxe quesadillas. Each of them were yummy! So glad we found a great Mexican place near by. I just wish they had Mango Jarritos. Can’t seem to find them anywhere.
This was my first visit here.
I requested a low carb specialty meal not on the menu.
They had never done anything like it before.
They talked about it for about 20 seconds and were able to make a nice plate. See the picture.

The hot sauce was tasty. Quite tasty, actually.
They have a chips and salsa bar that is clean and well stocked.
I recommend.
Was very surprised how quickly it got full of people. The food came out very fast as well. The workers have very good communication thus it isn't full for long. They get things done and the food was pretty good.
