Came in for lunch on a Saturday. Very limited menu. Non of your “cheese, meats etc” . Great food! Service by captain Andrew outstanding!!! However, the manager lady, wearing jeans and old pink T-shirt sat in the middle of the dining room on her phone, while the only server was in the weeds.. the only interaction with me and my business partner ( who’s a chef) was dropping off the check and commenting on our conversation.. what?! I can’t put less than 5* because of this ridiculous individual and I own and run restaurants myself! Btw, would not disclose her name also.. Otherwise, beautiful space!
$140 before tip , no alcohol on Saturday morning
My family treated me for my birthday dinner at the restaurant and it was a great experience. We were located right by the kitchen and we were surprised to see just one chef cooking all the items. The service was great and some of the food items was really amazing. We spoke to the chef and also took pictures with him. It was a awesome experience.
There was only one chef who cooked for the entire resteraunt and everything he prepared for us was delicious. The kitchen is an open space and you could see him cooking, French Cusine. If your looking for something different this is it.
Small resteraunt, great ambience
I coordinated a Vintage Tea Party for a client hosting her daughter's bridal shower surrounded by family and friends. We originally planned to use the beautiful garden located in the back, but due to excessive heat in DC the manager offered the pretty indoor party room. I was impressed with the flexibility, the wait staff, food and desserts. Perfect location of intimate events. Pinkies Up!
The food is magical here! We had a birthday lunch here on a rainy Saturday. Service was a bit lacking and slow as there was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. Shocking! He was very courteous when he came around. But the food made up for any shortcomings.
It was a nice experience with their asparagus soup and veal chop. Veal chop was very tender and juicy. I would definitely recommend this dish and this restaurant. I think prices are little too much especially the soup and the day’s specials but if you can afford it, go for it. I would come back to try other dishes. They also have plenty of variety of wines.
One of the most enjoyable meals of my life. This delicious Rhône wine made of Grenache (55%), Syrah (25%), Carignan (10%), Cinsault (5%), and Mourvèdre (5%) perfectly complimented the seared sea scallop appetizer with oyster mushrooms and duck breast main (with a smoked porcini reduction and eggplant purée). and the waiter Wilhelm is a hoot.
Bistro Provence is a special place. The food and ambiance are exquisite. Service is professional if a bit aloof. I need to dine here more often even if I'm dining alone. It's a truly wonderful experience.
Great food, quiet place, close to public parking.
This is my fourth time in this restaurant. I have the over to meet the owner. The owner enjoys his business. He has many many years of experience and his clientele are loyal and enjoy this amazing building. Yes, the restaurant is in a building and have many rooms. I recommend this place :-)
