I’ve been going here now for about 8 years and Passion Fin has the most remarkable sushi in the DMV. It’s definitely in my top 3 sushi restaurants in Maryland. I can tell the pandemic hit them hard and they now are closed on Mondays due to understaffing. Prices have been raised so I can only justify getting some during lunch happy hour which ends at 2:45. They have good Miso soups to go and they have mastered their packaging for carry-out. There’s a few tables outside where I often enjoy my food outside but whenever I’m there closer to 3pm the inside of the restaurant is barren.

Good price for the food quality, but the place needs to be updated. Menus have worn, ragged edges. Uninspired room decorations. I made the mistake of washing my hands before eating and the restrooms were really filthy. It was noon and we were some of the first customers in, so I expected the restrooms to be cleaned, but literally every part of the restroom was dirty, including the yellow "slippery floor" warning sign. Hibachi lunch was very good, fresh and tasty. Overall OK if you are in dire need of asian lunch.

I've been eating here for lunch a few times a week. The food is pretty good! Today I had a Shrimp and Mango salad. It was absolute perfection!

This is my go-to sushi place when I’m ordering online. Its not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but the price for what you get can’t be beat. It’s a bit out of the way from the main Bethesda haunts but it’s great overall. The dinner special - 3 rolls + a soup/salad is an incredible deal! I recently tried their lo mein too and I loved it.

This restaurant is a new favorite haunt for my daughter and me. We lunch here whenever we are running errands and are in a hurry. The food and service are good, and it is a rather quiet place to eat and chat. I love the miso soup and the sushi is good. I tried the red curry, and the curry base was good, but I wasn't a fan of the chicken. I will stick to sushi when I come here.

Great food for lunch😁. Dinner might be a bit expensive for the same food. I like the curry dishes...they do agrest job. The wait staff is accommodating, and the atmosphere is good too. Noise levels could get high as this is a family place with a separate bar and TV.

I went for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is brand new and you can tell that it is run by a group with great experience. I liked the combination of Thai w Sushi as it opened the menu up for more items. I had the gyoza appetizer and chicken pad thai - highly recommend for a filling lunch. The food was fantastic, the service was fast and knowledgable and I will be returning often. Great place for a business lunch as well as dinner with my wife!

In an era now bygone, one could get classic Chinese fare from the Shops at Sumner Place from China Pavilion, a tasty stop now known only in memory. Now, your only hope for Asian cuisine in the realm is Passion Fin. As their name suggests, their passion is fish. The sushi bar is above average, dare I say excellent. The hot dishes are crowd pleasers, but nothing to text home about. The prices are reasonable, especially for Bethesda, doubly so if you stop by for lunch. It will never earn a place in my heart like China Pavilion, but Passion Fin has earned a place in my belly. Overall, 5/7.
