This is a great place to watch Caps games! They have a great 3 dollar beer special during the game and flat screens everywhere. Good service and good food, reasonably priced. Also great happy hour specials so get there a little bit early and get a good seat to watch the game!
Food was great and the beer selection was awesome. Recommend trying anything with the beer can chicken - it was delicious. Try their house beers, Oliver brewing did a good job. Service was great too! Definitely coming back
The manager Michael was great. So was our server, i think his name was Aaron. Food was fine. Drinks were nice, and so was the booth in which we watched the fights. The fellas enjoyed it, so i guess we'll be back. As long as i get my bourbon and cola, I'll be fine.
I have to say I had a really good time when I finally did get a chance to stop in. Solid food, great specials, and TV's everywhere. I will need to make sure I come back here to watch a game next time.
Nice bar, friendly service, plenty of seats, was able to find bar seats on a weekend. Variety of beers on tap
Food was decent, nothing really stood out as fantastic but there wasn't really any disappointments. Huge beer menu with over 100 options. Billiards, foosball and skeeball are available.
Good staff and plenty of options for bar games, like pool. They could use better pool equipment, like sticks and cues. They have a pretty good rewards programs a d a great selection of brews. Not usually too crowded, so it's easy to find a seat.
Fourth time I've gone to Tapp'd, I'm consistently happy with my experiences there. They have a nice beer selection, their burgers are delicious, and I love the game room. The previous bar in this space had pool tables, but Tapp'd has taken it up a level with skeeball, arcade games, and air hockey. Management is always friendly, and they have some good specials throughout the week. Definitely worth checking out!
Very good happy hour prices here. The food (had bbq sliders of some sort) weren't that great, but the drinks definitely were. You can also play lotto here which seems like a good idea once you've had 3+ vodka sodas. Sadly the lotto machine was broken when I visited. Or maybe that wasn't sad...
Orange Moscow mules and pineapple Moscow mules were soooo good!!! The waffle fries and prez with beer cheese was also good apps with the drinks. Pool is free to play before I think it was 7pm. Watched the games close by TVs. Very nice bartenders!
Decent bar, very big inside with lots of TVs. Way too bright, you feel like you're walking into a department store and the music was also too loud for the small crowd. Fun trivia night but the bartender seemed to have better things to do on a slow night than sell food and drinks. Great happy hour prices, would have bought a lot more but just couldn't get attention from the bartender who spent the whole time cleaning the bar. If you are having a slow night that is the optimal time to chat up your customers and upsell upsell upsell. Turning a $20 tab into a $50 tab isn't that hard and is the only strategy for making more $$ with less customers. Always ask how the food is and do you want more. Often people will not order more without being prompted but a few words of encouragement can turn a tiny check into a big one with a big tip.
I love the attempt at a proper beer bar in Bethesda, and I love that this spot embraces local brews (their signature beers are made by a Baltimore brewery). The location (the old Union Jacks) is fine and spacious. I'm not a fan of the pub grub, though. I've tried to explore the menu repeatedly and it's just left me unhappy. But...the menu is exactly what it should be, so maybe I'm just snooty. I would like to see a few more rotating taps and a few more daring beers. For example, I see Denizens from Silver Spring on tap all the time, but it's always the old standbys like the Rye IPA and the Big red Norm. Denizens is making a few challenging beers -- how do we expand that lineup? (or are the MoCo DLC laws a problem? Probably.) I'd like to see a more knowledgeable staff on par with the Mussel Bar. I'm also not exactly happy with expired bottles and cans being served. I was served a beer that had an expiration date of January on the bottle.
