The food was delicious! We had the coconut shrimp appetizer. What a treat. They were actually huge prawns. I had prime rib that was sheer perfection. We splurged and had dessert. Chocolate decadence that was so amazing I am still salivating at the memory of it! As good as the food was, what truly made this an exceptional dining experience was the wonderful staff working at the restaurant. They were all fun, friendly, professional and attentive.
I have been a repeat customer of Jakes for many years, and the service and the food have always been great. I moved our company Christmas party to Jakes after several years of getting less then stellar service at another establishment. For a group of 18 it can be tough to meet everyone's needs. Last night Jakes and all of the staff knocked it out of the park. Our wait staff was on the ball and kept up with the drinks and the food was awesome. I want to send a sincere thank you to Kenny who was our lead waiter. He was polite, very kind and on top of every need. I am very grateful for the best Company Christmas party in our history. Thank you to Jakes Bar & Grill for a great experience. See you again soon.
Skip all the whiny reviews--this place has good eats. Crab and artichoke appetizer was yummy, onion soup tasty, prime rib perfectly prepared and wife had "Jake Steak" also very, very good. Topping it all off for me was a chocolate stout microbrew which was VERY chocolate (no kidding). Quite unique and a nice pairing with my prime rib. No room for desert unfortunately. Well done Jakes! A very nice meal!
Excellent. We were visiting in August of 2013 , out from Massachusetts. My steak was delicious. One of the best. Mushrooms also terrific and that really helps make a great steak dinner for me. My wife and teenage son also could not say enough good things about the food. Atmosphere, wait staff---all good. Only complaint is that we had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes. Worth the wait. Good people watching. Nice wine list. Local brews too. Some pretty schmancy cowboy boots too.

Another good meal at Jakes. The service was ok - but wasn't great as we didn't see our waitress for over 30 minutes. To be fair, we were waiting for someone - but, being checked up on for refills on drinks would have been nice. Ordered a bottle of wine, and was brought the wrong bottle. Otherwise, drinks were commendable. The ambiance is nicer than the downtown Jakes and numerous other restaurants in Billings (especially for large groups). Appetizers were excellent - mussles were a little firm but still had good flavor. The teriyaki beef and seafood dip were exceptional. The volcano pork entree was falling apart it was so tender. The sauce was excellent - but don't let the name fool you, it wasn't spicy at all. Huckleberry ribs were cooked to perfection - sauce had good flavor, not too sweet or overpowering and still allowed the flavor of the meat to be tasted. The salads and bread were fine - nothing to brag about, but made the wait bearable. Overall, a great experience once again at Jakes.
Great service. Friendly staff. Fabulous food. Nice wine selection. Good happy hour prices. So glad we stopped into Jake's while traveling across Montana. Our server, Makayla was perfect, could not have asked for anything better.
Upscale bar and steakhouse, well worth the premium pricing. The chef gladly accommodated my friend's customization due to dietary restrictions. Friendly servers. Clean restrooms. Tasteful and modern Western decor (I know-right?!)
When they brought the cheesecake to the table it was very full in color and very explosive in taste. It was very creamy and that flowed with every attack of the spoon. Every bite was full of flavor and very soft to the pallet. The coffee was very black and robust in flavor and complimented the cheesecake like doves flying in a hurricane. I would highly recommend this at the end of your meal.
We don't go often enough but when we do, we're always pleased. Great food but limited menu. Excellent staff always with a smile. For a high end restaurant, they're not horribly slow between ordering and food arriving. Great atmosphere, comfortable ambience, nice dining chairs and you won't freeze like most restaurants. They keep the temperature pleasant for the guests unlike so many others. Go! You won't be disappointed 👍
Just bought a house and we stopped in to get a bite to eat. Very fashionable place. The service was top shelf. The hiring manger has a great eye for good talent. The food very noteworthy. I enjoyed the fish tacos although the fish pieces where too large to eat them as tacos. We will be back.
We didn't have reservations and there were 7 of us. Jake's was so accommodating. Service was outstanding. We had steaks, chicken, shrimp and all were very tasty. Baby greenhouse tomatoes on salad were so tasty. Shared two desserts. Both were very good. A definite place to go.
Absolutely phenomenal!! Service was on point throughout our whole dining experience. Food was out of this world in presentation and taste. Spirits were top notch. Atmosphere and ambiance was perfection. We will definitely be return clients!!
