I absolutely love the Big Dipper. I discovered it when I went to college in Missoula and was overjoyed when the Billings location opened up. Always great quality, homemade ice cream served with a smile. My fav is the Little Dipper with coconut ice cream and a banana. If I’m not in the mood for that, the strawberry milkshake is to die for or my summertime go to- the root beer float. Thank you for being a wonderful local spot that serves up great ice cream. You guys are the best.
Wow!! My family celebrated the end of the I Love Dance comp in Billings every year with Big Dipper Ice Cream!! Sustainable spoons and packaging. Great stickers. Best ice cream! I had the coconut today and it was better than fresh coconut ice cream I had in Hawaii!
Big Dipper Ice Cream is a great place to grab ice cream with friends and family. The selection is varied and includes interesting (in a good way) combinations. They do offer free samples so that you can try several types. I chose mocha chip, which was absolutely delicious. It was a beautiful evening, so I enjoyed the outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and fast.
So many yummy choices and they do flights of ice cream! Need i say more?! 6 different scoops for 12 bucks! You can't beat that!
The employees are friendly and any ice cream with huckleberry in it is great! Plus, they have tables and chairs outside so as you lick your ice cream cone while you watch the people and traffic go by. Nice!
Probably the best ice cream in Billings. Many of the flavors we had tasted fresh and homemade, with the exception of their tangerine. I think their tangerine is literally just Tang powder turned into ice cream.
