I travel more then most and have lived on both coasts, this sushi is the best sushi I have ever had! Hawaii, Charleston, New York, still have not had any experience that was as wonderful as this! I make it a must go every time I am in town. The experience is worth any wait time. Every roll unique and made well! Absolutely a must go if you are visiting and a staple if you live there. If you are looking for the best sushi and a good experience, Nara is the place to go!
They only thing wrong with this place is that it is where I had sushi for the very first time...and it's ruined me to eat it any where else! We travel a lot, and nothing ever compares. We find ourselves rushing to Nara as soon as we step foot in town!! This is a family owned restaurant with custom made rolls, and it's like no other I have ever been to. It's not a quickie dining stop, if you want that go buy the packaged sushi from the grocery store (yuck!). Either plan get there early, or sit back with a glass of beer or wine and enjoy the conversation, while you watch the sushi chef create his masterpieces. He is always experimenting and coming up with new ideas for rolls, giving Nara its contemporary feel, while Mom is cooking up the best dang traditional Korean food you will find here in the states. If you don't know what to order, just ask some of the locals at the Sushi bar, most of them come in daily and you will not be led astray! Try the Rolling Red, Crunchy Salmon, Spicy Tuna, or you might just get lucky and he will have some of my favorite, Seared Tuna (shhhh it's a secret!). If you are looking for a true Sushi Dining Experience, don't miss out on this place, you'll definitely be sorry you did!
NaRa has some of the best sushi I've ever had. I ordered their Alpine roll, the jalapeños added a perfect spiciness and crunchiness. My mother ordered the Spider roll, and the shrimp in it REALLY pulled the roll together deliciously.
Frankly, I'm not even a big sushi fan. But the crunchiness makes it so perfect.
We had excellent service from our hostess, and if you're looking for good sushi and gyoza then this is the place for you. ♡
Although, for some reason on Friday their kitchen meals were shut down. No problemo for us though, we still left happy!
The staff is always very kind. I usually go here in the evenings and there's usually been a 10-15 minute wait. There is a sushi bar, but I think you still have to be seated at it since I've walked up to it on my own and sat 5+ minutes without being acknowledged, until I went and got someone. I'd also say that part of the wait time has been due to tables not being cleaned off for 5+ minutes after customers left. It's not like the staff was standing around chit-chatting though, just very busy. The rolls are more expensive than a lot of other places but they are the best I've had not just in billings but many places in California. I definately love coming here when I feel like spending a bit more, it's worth it.
Sashimi is the freshest you can get in Billings. Trust me, I've been to every sushi joint in town multiple times. You do pay for the quality, but the quality makes it worth it.
The staff was good, and so was the food.
Best sushi in Billings Montana. Friendly hostesses that are always smiling and take good care of everyone.
The sushi chefs are amazing and what they make is art it's almost a shame to eat it.
If you want good sushi in Montana this is the place to go.
Prices are good for what you get. Haven't tried the sake but I'm told it's good.
Best sushi in Billings, HANDS DOWN 🙏🏽🔥😍🤤
