Fancying myself a lover of Mediterranean/Persian cuisine it was about time I made it @bocaskewers in downtown Boca Raton. This quaint, strip mall restaurant has been around for about 15 years. Now I’m not certain, but it appeared that the entire place was run and served by just two people, which while makes the wait a bit longer to get served, vies for its authenticity. You can really taste it In the food, which I can surely appreciate. Starting with the roasted eggplant topped with house garlic sauce, I was delighted with its fabulous consistency and flavor and accompanying fresh pita. The lentil soup served with each dish was quite delicious as well, not being too starchy or thick. For the main dish we have the chicken soltani with its accompanying kefta kabob. Both were supremely tender and flavorful, a great combination indeed. For a price point of $20 a plate, I would have possibly like a slightly larger portion, but overall a lovely choice when you’re in the mood for this fare. It’s really a kind 4.5 stars.

This has to be THE BEST Mediterranean food on the planet! My wife worked here and we ALWAYS crave it. The owners make everything fresh from scratch and are the nicest people ever. We miss Boca Skewers! Anyone looking for fresh Mediterranean food in the area, please enjoy this place for us!
