I hadn't been there for many years. I moved back to Boise and have waited 3 years to go back to my past. I enjoyed it so much. It is a1000x better. It was clean, nice customers and the bartender was really nice. I'll be going back there.
McCleary's is a neighborhood dive bar with (usually) friendly locals. It has two pool tables, darts, shuffleboard, jukebox and some other miscellaneous bar games. It also has a nice outside seating/smoking area out back where you can have your drinks. It's usually ran by 1 bartender at a time but I have never felt ignored or like there was a long wait for service. It would get 5 stars but some of the locals who frequent McCleary's can get a bit too drunk and slightly agressive. All and all though if you go there wanting to have a couple drinks with friends or to play some bar games with a good attitude you'll have a good night.
ST Patty's day party was legendary! They had corned beef and cabbage with all the fixings. Green beer! Live band Funhouse Boise which were great and they cover set they played rocked the scene. There was also live bagpipes and a parade that came through! This was the place to go for St Patty's day will definitely go next year!
