Cody's elicits the feel of dining in a larger city that's enriched by a foodie culture.
Equally impressive as the high-quality food is the staff's attentiveness.
The charming and dapperly-attired barkeep called us by name all evening and effortlessly stayed one step ahead of us in maximizing our dining comfort.
Dishes are are thoughtfully prepared for optimal flavor rather than just creating a piece of edible artwork- the attractive plating is a bonus.
The Korean BBQ skewer appetizer was delectable, perfectly complemented by its sesame aioli drizzle.
We shared two entrees, both of which were home runs:
the Bunjal Curry
(grilled 16 oz ribeye atop a goat cheese & coconut milk curry with South American citrus chimichurri)
and one of the night's specials,
sea bass over white rice with a magical Indian-inspired sauce.
I can also vouch for the nuts & berries cocktail(s). Yum!
I have a long list of Cody's menu items that I'm eager to try & will return many times.
Went there this afternoon specifically to try the curry (my first time having the dish). Idk if all curry is amazing but I know that Cody's is. My girlfriend ordered the island pork sandwich and it was freaking awesome too (you're damn right I took a bite, it looked so freaking good). Our food took a little time to get there (like 5 more minutes than I would have expected, no biggy) and they comped us an appetizer and offered us a drink. Totally unnecessary but it shows what kind of restaurant they are running. You can tell they care about the food and the service. If you're reading this and trying to figure out if you should give it a shot, I don't think I've done the place justice. Go now, have a good time eat great food, come back here write them a better review.
An absolute hidden gem! The drinks were fantastic and the food was so tasty! Was traveling in the area and stopped for the night, and will stop every time I'm back in the area.
Great food, great service! J was very personable and provided great service! I had the Tex Burger which was amazing!
Alright, this place was absolutely a surprise.
My boyfriend and I decided to stay here in Bridgeport, and I wanted something local but decent looking. Cody’s was quite a leap from decent, it was pretty damn good in its atmosphere and its food.
Highly recommend when visiting Bridgeport or driving along I-68.
Our compliments to the chef!!! My wife and I stopped for lunch and ordered the salmon protein bowl with rice and teriyaki sauce. The salmon was PERFECTLY cooked and the seasoning's flavor EXPLODED in my mouth. Keep doing what you are doing!
Traveling and found Cody’s. We were party of three. Blown away with the best cocktails ever. Menu and food were incredible. Service was special. Will be on our list to return.
Bottomless mimosas Sunday morning are unbeatable. Consistent, delicious, cozy. Staff very respectful & attentive. Very best restaurant in the state that isn’t in Morgantown or Charleston.
