I wasn't acknowledged when I first entered, once noticed staff appeared hospitable. I'm vegan and ordered lentil soup, first time trying Indian version which was a bit thin, not my usual but good, spice, curry and flavors were obvious, which I like, reasonably priced and appreciate as the area doesn't appear to have many options for my diet.
This is a regular lunch spot for me! To start, they have a great lunch special for take out and dining in, as well as a dinner special (an entree and appetizer for $20). The Chicken Tikka Masala is the best. I highly recommend trying their biriyani, chicken samosas, and paneer sagwala (as a vegetarian option). I go at least a couple times a month and have never been disappointed.
This is the best Indian food I have had in New York City! The Restaurant has a large menu to choose from. I have had dishes such as the very popular Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vindaloo, Chicken Achaari, Garlic Naan, Spinach and Cheese Naan. The portion of my dish was a good size because I was full after eating. The food was super delicious and my friends agreed. I am looking forward to going back.
Our group of four dined in. The restaurant was empty except for folks who had called in and were doing take out.
The one staff member we saw was on the phone taking orders so it took a few minutes before he got to us. Our dishes arrived quickly and they were excellent. I had the chicken biryani. Meat was tender and nicely spiced. The menu is extensive and includes vegetarian options.
Atmosphere is minimal, you go here for the food which is delicious and reasonably priced.
I’ve had lunch here several times and it’s typically a pretty slow go. The food is solid, lunch special prices are fair, but overall a bit lackluster. I’m not sure of other options in the area or if they are more of a takeout operation but it’s a solid lunch stop
Little spot in the Bronx for classic Indian food. Delish, Hot, Fresh! Please stop by and grab something for dinner or, if you have time, sit down for a nice meal.
Really good food. This establishment showed me the beauty of Indian food. Really recommend the butter chicken, chicken jalfrezi, and chicken vindaloo. You’ll definitely be satisfied after eating here. It’s more of a hole in the wall location than some type of fancy restaurant.
I go here for the Kashmiri Pulao. It's a coconut rice with spices and fruit and it is delicious. I always order ahead and they are always friendly and nice.
Fish tikamasala with rice was very great..
Will definitely eat from there again ...
Decent portions too
Didn't like the lentils soup too much..
I’ve been ordering from this place for years since I live in the area and I have never been disappointed. Super flavorful and filling!
