What a hidden gem.. love the “Dimer”. Once you get passed the mis-matched fonts and misspelled words on some of their signage, you’ll realize this place makes some of the most amazing Mexican food in all of NYC. Their birria tacos are especially amazing. Not a fan of their back room with the TVs and wish overall they did more with the space. But the food is amazing.

Mexicano diner is my go to for Mexican good! Super quick delivery and always hot and fresh. Today I got the chicken cemitas which is an amazing sandwich and chicken tacos. Both were very delicious. Must try if you are in the neighborhood

Just delightful! Labor Day several places were closed so I ventured to the other side of Coney Island Ave. I had a frozen mango margarita and mole poblano. The mole poblano came with more then enough tortillas and rice and beans. Usually, I will add some hot sauce but not needed here. The mole was perfectly spiced with oodles of flavor. The rice and beans were perfection which I added to the mole - heavenly. The salsa and chips were also fantastic. The chips had a nice salty taste and the salsa has a kick but not too spicy. After my fabulous meal I had coffee which was also nicely spiced. This place knows how to use spice that delights the taste buds. The coconut flan was awesome. Usually flan is very fluffy without a lot of body. This flan was light and fluffy and had body at the same time. Not overly sweet with good coconut flavor. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. The mole poblano was 18.95. Given we are in inflationary times where else can you have such a delicious dinner for this price. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

Went to eat at this Mexican restaurant and we ordered caldo de camarón 🦐 as well as the molcajete dish🥘. Both dishes looked great and tasted good as well. The molcajete had nopales, cebollas, aguacate, queso frito, pollo, bistec, camarón, y chorizo! Everything was good and the service was as well.

As authentic as authentic Mexican cuisine gets. Plenty of space and seating. Tables and booths. Good service.

One of my few favorite spots in NYC! The skirt steak was flavorful. The best part was pico de gallo. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh and well-cooked. I also had Chile Rellenos and it was delish! Update 11/19/2022: I went there for a solo dinner and walked with a full happy stomach. This time I remembered to take photos of what I enjoyed eating at this delicious Mexican spot in my hood. I absolutely loved the marinated skirt steak with grilled cactus and pico de gallo. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as I request. The tamales was so tasty. I was tempted to order a few more to go. The service was wonderful! Give this place a try!

This little restaurant is everything I want from a Mexican joint. It’s super affordable, the flavors are authentic and the staff and the decor really make you feel as if you’re eating out in Mexico City. I would happily come back and try their breakfast one day. Pictured below is the Cemita, Horchata and order of tacos.

I had an amazing meal from @mexicodiner_ this afternoon! I found the restaurant on @grubhub which is also available on @seamless and @doordash Firstly it was delicious. The shrimp and the sauce it comes in is fantastic. The shrimp tacos was delicious and they provide homemade salsa verde 😋 it comes with rice and black beans. The shrimp taco was really good I love the fresh cilantro and lime to garnish it. The fish taco was good but my one thing to say is it could use a better quality fish inside. I would pay more for the taco to have that tender , melt in your mouth type of fish inside. Of course Chilean sea bass would be most ideal but to keep it at a certain price point I would consider Basa/Swai fish or Pollock those are more fluffy and retain more moisture. Other than that I loved every bite.

Food was very good. Prices were decent. I had the chicken quesadillas, rice and black beans. I also had a rice milk drink speciality called Horchata. Non-alcoholic. It was delicious.
