HUGE Donuts and better tasting than any cooperate doughnut chain. Great flavor and more unique toppings than any other doughnut shop. 11/10
Ilya, the owner, is incredibly friendly and their donuts are the airy, quintessential donuts I'm always looking for. they also have a great deal: 2 donuts and a cup or coffee for $5 (and the donuts are massive)
What to get: coconut donut and an iced coffee for ~$7.
How it turned out: small batched, old fashioned donuts with a good chew. Generous size and very satisfying.
Now that I'm older, I'd prefer a product half the size for variety and reduced guilt.
The only problem is they do run out sometimes, so just try to have a plan. It’s a small place, so I have a backup plan if I want to bring them somewhere. Always worth stopping by though. Also, I often cut them in half when I bring them places as they are big and people don’t always want to commit, so a box ends up serving a lot of people.
I ordered today via doordash and these donuts did not disappoint. Im so glad I didnt listen to negative reviews. Im a pastry chef and I really appreciate a well made flavorful dessert. These donuts were fresh, pillowy soft, and the glazing was perfect. The maple came through on the maple glaze and a faint vanilla came through on the plain glaze. My sister tried the strawberry and literally said “wow” after her first bite. I think some things to note in ref to the negative reviews is 1. Time- when ordering donuts, the earlier the better. Donuts shops rarely have extended hours. That means you need to come early in the day for variety and quality reasons. 2. Grease - theyre donuts and fried in oil. Get a grip!
Either way ill be ordering some more sooner than later.
Really great donuts, thick but fluffy and sweet. Bought 3 to share between two people and it was perfect.
Owner is such a sweetheart. I had an oatmilk latte and my daughter had an oatmilk hot chocolate on the first visit with a cinnamon roll and maple glazed donut. Second visit had a walnut glazed twisty thing, oreo cookie donut and original glazed (all pictured). Each donut had a nice crispy outside and a soft inside. They are pretty big too so ideal for sharing OR having your own sweet tooth indulged. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Bedstuy!
This is my go-to coffee shop, the guys that work here at this point know my order by heart and even notice when I haven't been around for a few days.
It's small - but comfortable and doesn't have all the frills and tassels that some coffee shops feel like they need. They do have wi-fi if you need it and a few books if you're really into that.
As for the food I usually stick to the maple donuts (really good sized, soft, chewy, old fashioned!)
I've been coming here for the last 2 years and honestly don't plan on taking my business anywhere else ANYTIME soon!
Got the maple glaze and apricot! Really well filled and the chewiest yeast donuts I’ve ever had! Texture is AMAZING. I can tell a lot of work is put into the dough. Huge donuts that are quality ❤️ good for sharing!
Cute little spot with delicious big fluffy donuts! Plus the baristas have always been kind and welcoming.
The Matcha Donut wasn't too sweet nor oily. The mouthfeel was nice and chewy and the color of the frosting was quite vibrant. For a donut that cost $3.75 it was quite big.
I can't wait to try the other flavors.
I had these donuts on a visit to NYC two years ago. I’ve dreamt about them since. Finally came back for two more today, and they are still by far the best donuts I’ve ever had. Pillowy, sweet, flavourful perfection.
