Victor and his staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the whole experience. Cannoli was delicious. My family tried the original Italian, the spicy Italian, the chicken cutlet with garlic aioli, and the BLT. The sub rolls were the perfect texture of chewy and soft. I highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.

My mother and I came here during the summer, My mother knew Jimmy and wanted to come since best its been years since she has been here. My mother says the sandwiches are just as they were back in days. Best hero's sandwiches in town!
I have been going to Jimmy's for the last 10 years and the quality has been top notch the whole time. Victor is amazing, always happy to see me and asking about my family. The roast beef is the best I've ever tasted and the mozzarella is always to die for. I highly recommend Jimmy's to anyone!
Had an excellent experience here. Heard all about this place from the Internet and stopped on our way to the beach. Ordered the fried eggplant they cooked it up fresh right in front of us and it was the best sandwich we’ve ever had. Connoli was great too. Excellence service. service talk about a sandwich artist! Definitely worth trekking down there unassuming chill vibes best sandwich you’ll have all year.
I have eaten a lot of sandwiches in my day, but I have to say the sandwich I just ordered from Jimmy’s was shockingly better than any other sandwich I have eaten in NYC before. Most sandwiches are dry and salty and it’s kind of a chore of eating them, so I usually only eat them to stay full throughout the day, not really because I enjoy them. This sandwich was very moist, it was easy to eat; it had a delicious homemade flavor. The chicken cutlet was fresh tasting, not dried out or old like the usual. The sauces added moisture and distinct flavor to the sandwich. The bread was fresh.
It’s honestly everything I could ask for in sandwich. The women working the front counter were also extremely nice which is even rarer in NYC than a sandwich which doesn’t feel like eating sand with a side of salty meat. There’s so much hype found in restaurant review ratings where I am constantly underwhelmed but this is an actual gem of NYC.

Jimmy's Famous Sandwich shop makes some of the best sandwiches in the Sheepshead Bay area. The sandwich maker Vic, is such a great guy, also his wife and crew are all the best! I threw him for a loop & got a chicken cutlet & roast beef sandwich with garlic mayo lettuce tomato s&p oil &vinegar. It came delicious! Will be ordering this again for a cool summer sandwich. Disclaimer/not they were running low on bread the sandwich with rb & chicken cutlet is a half hero portion.
The pics after Vic's photo are full hero pics(with plastic half pints of mac & potato salads). The salads were free gifts from this awesome shop. These guys are the best in the neighborhood, come here when you have a hankering for a well made sandwich!
Went here with my boyfriend after hearing about the hype & im happy to announce that they did not disappoint! The bread was so incredibly fresh & delicious (literally reminded me of the bread from cartoons). My boyfriend got a chicken cutlet sandwich & I got a cheese hero with the works. The only downside was that the grill was closed so my bf couldn’t get his hero toasted but the food was delicious nonetheless. Will probably order from here since they have it on GrubHub.

I come here all the way from Hoboken to enjoy the best there is in all of Brooklyn. Jimmy’s is a true Brooklyn staple and the quality of every little ingredient is consistent year round. If you want to have the best sandwich of your life come here! Also, Jimmy is a class act gentleman, cheers to him!
This place has the nicest staff ever! The heros are delicious! We had the chicken cutlet with garlic mayo and fresh mozzarella and the hot Italian, we weren’t able to finish them they were so big. Both were delicious, wish we had time to try everything!
The best SANDWICH hands down. THE BEST ITALIAN BREAD. Garlic mayo chicken cutlet and fresh mozzarella was to die for. The moment I walked in I was greeted by Vic and I felt at home. Really great food and customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
