Best yummiest pizza ever!!! And the salad dressing omg
Gio's has the best pizza, period. Always has and always will. Plus, the Shrimp A La Gio is amazing.
Gio’s is a Brownsville institution. It has been here for over 40 years and has been run by the same family since the beginning. Don’t go here expecting a fancy Italian restaurant. This is an old-school, cozy Italian joint. They treat everybody like family. The food is fantastic. The prices are moderate and fair considering the quality of the food. I love their thin crust style of pizza. Also, their bread, salad and calzones are amazing as well. If you love local spots, you will love this place. Just remember it’s an family run business. it’s not a chain style commercial type of environment with a generic atmosphere. So that means it’s a great spot in my kind of place. If you are new to Brownsville, just passing through it or have lived here your whole life you will really enjoy Gio’s!
The place was definitely an experience, it has a home cooked environment, the food was excellent and tasty, however a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend for the experience! Great service by the way!
Authentic Italian cuisine and fun! Gregg the owner was a blast. Greg still hand tosses the pizza dough. He is quite a show and makes you feel welcome and at home in his kitchen. The meat balls are fantastic you won't get better balls anywhere like Gio's.
Good Italia atmosphere delicious pizza 🍕😋 great service!

I went yesterday for first time and it was amazing food the service was great Yessenia took good care of us she amazing sweet person the pizza was so delicious Definitely coming back
I've been eating here since I was a child - back when they had the wine bottles hanging from the ceiling and the old arcade games. This is the best Italian restaurant in the RGV - a hidden gem. Fancy? No. It's meant for those evenings where you'd like to swap old jokes with your aunt and uncle and laugh hysterically across the red checkered tablecloth while eating amazing pizza. If it's more expensive than Pizza Hut, it's because years of love went into those recipes. We haven't eaten here in a while because of the pandemic, but we miss it here more than anywhere else!
Lovely memories of my childhood! This family run establishment has been a staple in my life since childhood. A cut above the rest in quality of ingredients and passion for food. Pizza is usually my go to, however I do deviate when something new comes along.
Service was great! Small family owned restaurant that makes you feel like you're at home. All handmade cuisine.
If you’re ever visiting Brownsville you MUST go to this place. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious. From the bread to the homemade meatballs and of course the fettuccine Gio. This is a classic, family run, old school Italian restaurant that you can’t miss. I can’t wait until the next time I go back!
