A friend recommended this place and I'm so happy he did! Nestled on the water in a quiet area is Mudcat Charlie's. This place was packed when we went on a Friday night. I love how the seating was spaced out enough that it didn't feel crowded inside. I also had enough space to park my stroller next to the table. The host and hostess were super friendly and sweet! We were a little skeptical about the food when we noticed they plate on disposable plates and bowls but we soon tasted the truth. We started dinner off with some fried pickles and they were some of the best I've ever had. The batter they use is delicious! The crab stew was so thick and creamy and bursting with flavor! Our toddler ordered the pig tails- Mac and cheese with bacon and hot dogs. Yum! It was homemade mac and cheese and it was delicious. I ordered the Salmon Dijon with a lemon caper sauce with stir fried veggies and battered fries. My husband got the seafood duo - Mahi and scallops. My mother-in-law ordered crab cakes and a baked potato and her boyfriend ordered the porchop and mashed potato special. Every single item we ordered was so flavorful, fresh and delicious. We were very pleased with our experience and even enjoyed a walk on the docks after dinner! I look forward to the next time we dine here!
The food was great along with the service. The view was amazing. Mr. Cricket at the trading post was really helpful, full of information, & very friendly.
A fish camp style restaurant not too far off I-95 near Brunswick.
We had the Gator Tail bites as an appetizer and the Mudcat Platter. There was plenty of food for the two of us (photo only shows half). Gator was exceptional. Oysters were very tender. The snow crab was the best I've had.
We're not it this way too often but we will definitely make a point to come back!
