Lunch was great and portions were filling. My wife and I shared the original which was piled high! The staff worked hard to get people inside and got the food out quick! Only complaint were the flies which they do have an entrance fan to minimize those pests! We will eat here again.
Outstanding seafood!! Some of the best around. Definitely will return!! Only seating outside but who cares when the food is this delicious!! Had shrimp basket, hush puppies, and onion rings. OMG!
Cute little down home place where the staff is SUPER & the food is fantastic. I'm sure the locals love this place & are happy to have it here & probably hope not all the tourists find this HUT.

Wow… Just wow! We stumble on this place by accident. We intend to go to Captain Nance’s however they were closed for the Super Bowl. My grandma always told me everything happens for a reason and this was it! This small, diner styled seafood restaurant was amazing! I ordered a combo seafood plate and everything was SO fresh! The oysters literally melted in my mouth! The ladies running and working the place were true, southern bell sweethearts with kind souls! The waitress was consistent and never let my drink get lower than an inch. And don’t get me started on the taste of their tea… it has the perfect balance of water and sugar… just phenomenal. Too bad I live 3 hours away but I’ll definitely make this my go-to when visiting SB. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely the best seafood in Calabash.....and beyond. Really fresh, lightly breaded, amazing flavor, large portions. The hushpuppies are the best I have ever had. Wonderful, friendly service staff. I have checked many restaurants off my list in this area as they are not as good as they once were. But this place will be a go-to on every trip here. Brought back memories of my summers at the Jersey Shore while growing up.
It has become a family tradition to return to Calabash Seafood Hut on the way to the Callahans of Calabash shop! The fish here is always fresh tasting with a great tasting batter. Would also personally recommend getting the Calabash shrimp. The coleslaw was a nice creamy and sweet flavor which is my preference.
Heard about this great little place. Drove up from Myrtle Beach look Lunch, special shrimp and flounder hush puppies fries included in the price tea or Coffee $12.50 each Two special included flounder and fried crab One with shrimp total for three meal was $40.30 great price for our three meals and we got three sweet tea to go
Great tasting flounder and calabash shrimp! Friendly waitress and clean restaurant. This is not gourmet seafood but it is delicious as well as reasonably priced. Will definitely make this a must stop place when in the area again. I will say that it is small inside and not really meant for large family gatherings unless you order to go.
Wonderful place, used to come here as a child, many, many years ago. Was in the area for business and make a special trip just to eat here. Every bit as good as I remember, how often is that not the case? Please give these folks your business. Wonderfully light crispy fried seafood, I got the small platter, what a misnomer! Contained a small mountain of flounder, oysters and some of the best shrimp I've had in a long time. Linda took very good care of me, better than I deserved, made sure I had everything I needed and plenty of sweet tea! Please support your small businesses as we get used to this new normal. Also be good to your servers, they were hit especially hard the last few years. Trying to make a difference, One Day at a Time, Won't You Join Me?
