Stopped at toasted on a recent road trip. It was 4th of July and the restaurant was busy, but worth the wait. We had the Apple Butter Biscuit Bottoms and the Awakened Bacon Biscuit Bottoms. Both were amazing and reasonable prices at $10.99 each. The apple butter biscuit bottoms were grilled biscuits with 2 eggs (I had mine scrambled) topped with Muenster cheese bacon and a sauteed apple onion combination and then it was topped with a bourbon apple butter. My husband had the awakened bacon biscuit bottoms which were two biscuits topped with 2 eggs, mozzarella and Chipotle Gouda cheese. This was topped with a sausage patty, a five onion and bacon marmalade and drizzle with a four berry glaze. A flavors of both were fantastic and a perfect blend. Next time where you're driving through Calabash you should stop for sure. I know that we will!
Glad I finally gave this place a try. The pancakes are HUGE. Such good prices and service. Definitely would come again and I do plan to. Menu is huge. I was surprised. Can't wait to try their lunch.
The food was so good I couldn't stop to take a picture until it was almost gone! The picture does not do it justice! Shrimp and crab omelet is now definitely a favorite of mine! Staff=so sweet, cook=amazing, the area=beautiful! My family and I love this place and we come here every time we come to the beach!
The name has changed but the food is still great. Great ambience and when you come be sure to ask the owner about his story, very interesting.
I came three times this week and each one was great! Steak and eggs, pineapple pancakes and omelets were all excellent. Come early because sometimes there's a wait, but it's worth it.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by the hostess. She asked me if I had been there before and when I told her that it was my first visit she proceeded to tell me that I would be surprised at the good food and the large portions.
My server was friendly and attentive. My food arrived quickly after my order and was good and hot! When I asked for more fresh salsa she brought it right out.
The food was great. I chose fruit as my side and was pleased with the freshness and flavor.

My boyfriend, a few friends and I were visiting Sunset Beach from out of state (he and I are from Kentucky and a third friend is from Minnesota), and one of our local friends recommended this place for breakfast. I’m really into local restaurants, so I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of the place as soon as I walked in. It seemed like everyone knew everyone there. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. Our food tasted like my family had made it. And it wasn’t expensive at all. In fact, we enjoyed the overall experience so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast again before we had to head to the airport. I’m 600 miles away now, but I’ll be recommending Sunrise Pancake House to everyone I know. You guys really exceeded my expectations and you were one of the highlights of my vacation.
Stopped here on our way home from the beach for breakfast and I'm glad we did. Everything we ordered was spot on and the portions were good sized. They easily accommodated our group of 8 and the staff was very friendly. The prices were very affordable, and most importantly the food was awesome!
The newly purchased breakfast eatery is a marvel. Still in the throes of reorganization it's busy setting up the new menu and staff. But, don't let that fool you they have a great line for all three meals. Jump in and have great meal. Then you can rave about them.
