Can’t believe I waited until today to try this great place! I went in and couldn’t decide between a burger or bbq, and the super nice young lady behind the counter gave me a sample of the bbq and it was amazing, so I had a bbq sandwich and fries. The guys in the kitchen even made sure I got fresh, hot fries! Can’t wait to go back and try a burger!
The best burger and fries in the area. Great service and extremely friendly staff. I can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend.
2nd visit: Enjoyed burgers, delicious! All the way, and the American, both yummy. Bun was warm and soft, burger was tender and juicy. Recommend 👍👍
First visit: Enjoyed the BBQ takeout special. 1lb BBQ, 1lb slaw, 2 dozen hush puppies (or buns), vinegar & sweet sauces, and cinnamon butter. Also, a side of excellent onion rings. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu, truly expecting good stuff! Recommend 👍💯

UPDATE: Bennetts had something for everybody. We have eaten at many of the seafood restaurants big and small in Calabash, but none can top this place for food for your dollar. In today's economy finding reasonable food food in a restaurant is a feat. The secret weapon here is the tartar sauce. According to the owner it's her 90+yo mother in laws recipe. You have never tasted anything so good. Even the bread the buns for the crab cake sandwich was something special. It is small and very busy. But its worth every minute you wait.

This is what you would expect from a small local eatery. Good food and very friendly staff. Listening to people talk as we were there it was very common to hear that they were repeat customers. Tonight we had the BBQ family meal. The barbq sauce is good. But the vinegar seasoning they offer is fantastic. Get some hush puppies as you might not have tasted any others like this . We will be back because they have a lot more of my favorites like oysters, clams, burgers, and grilled chicken. The cole slaw is something like your grandmother would have made back in the day. It is well worth the stop to check it out. Handicap parking is right up front and more regular parking spaces in the back.
This was our first time eating here and the food was plentiful and delicious! I've never seen such large chicken tenders and my son, who's a very picky eater, loved them and the honey-mustard that came with them. I had the shrimp and clam strips, they were wonderful. Everything was cooked to perfection and there was no way we could eat it all in one sitting. In addition to the great food, the staff was friendly and helpful.Can't wait to come back again! Thank you for a fantastic experience.
The calabash crab cake burger is phenomenal! Affordable prices, fantastic food, and a fun laid back atmosphere.
A great place to stop and grab a burger or hotdog, Much more on the menu. Love that they play Christian music. You get your food in a timely manner. Great customer service very friendly. Will be back.
Anna was on her A game. She was polite and had great recommendations on the food. She suggested I order the Calabash burger and it was one of the best things I've had in the area.
The fries are good. The chicken tenders are flavourful and juicy. Burgers are really good also. A++ we will be back.
If you from out of town and want a burger!!! Definitely give this place a try! Great combos ! We had the burger/hot dog , fries and drink special !!! What caught our eye was the traffic they were receiving!! We heard a lot of people ask about the calabash burger. So make sure to ask about it!! Brittney was amazing at the window. Asked her for ketchup and she definitely gave me the amount I desired !! Thank you for giving me a great experience here .
Home of the best juicy cheeseburger! You will pay for it though - $13.50 for a burger, fries and drink.
Absolutely the best hot dogs and hamburgers in the area. Always clean, staff is always pleasant and the service is very fast. Favorite little place in Calabash. A must visit when your in Calabash NC. BBQ is outstanding.
