San Lucas Mexican Restaurant Restaurant Pros: The food was quality authentic Mexican and the atmosphere and music was well coordinated with the restaurant. I was like a new experienced and didn’t feel like the same average Mexican food chain Cons: The only cons with this restaurant was that it was difficult to find parking and there was a language barrier between me and the person taking my order. There was no cons for the food. 2:00 pm Saturday April 9th 2015 My friends and I who go to Rutgers-Camden wen to this restaurant on Saturday in the rain. The rain permitted many people from walking the streets and even going into the restaurant so it was nice and calm and we didn’t have to wait. When we entered the restaurant it felt like I was entering a different world. My nose was filled with exotic smells and there was great Mexican music playing. The people genuinely looked pleased to be there as well. The man who took my order was very nice and attentive and even though there was a slight language barrier, our orders came out perfectly. It was the most genuine Mexican restaurant that I have eaten at. I just went with the simplest thing possible, tacos. Even though I went for a plain and simple dish, the food and ingredients were very fresh and authentic. The food tasted as if someone worked really hard on it unlike a chain or corporate styled restaurant. The restaurant definitely stood out as one of the main institutions on Federal Street, Camden. It seemed to be at the heart of the city when I was there and a staple for many people living in the city. Most of the people who were eating in there were Camden residents and it had a great community feel. I would definitely recommend going to San Lucas Mexican restaurant to anyone who asked me. I feel like as the city begins to open up, people from around the city will begin to love and enjoy this authentic restaurant as the local residents have for years. The quality of the ingredients was superb and as a person that has only ate generic and chain Mexican restaurant food I can tell the difference. The fresh ingredients and hard work the employee of San Lucas put into their food really make a difference in a world filled with restaurants.

There is no other place i eat from, this palce has the best nachos, flautas, tacos al pastor, the horchata come from the gods is all i can say its amazing the pina colatas are amazing go and check it out
