The restaurant is offering a Petal To Plate menu in April, along with the regular menu. Start with
@Bruce K. AKA Salt Of The Earth Projects Sheraton a pretty champagne cocktail named Fizz Blossom. It's made with vodka, lemon juice, lavender flower syrup, sparkling wine and purple lavender floral sprigs. Another floral beverage is the lavender lemon spritz made with Tito’s Vodka, lemon juice, lavender-infused simple syrup and sparkling wine served over ice with a lemon twist and a lavender flower. Both are ideal starters out on the patio at sunset, while listening to live music.
Chef Eddie makes some creative dishes that include hibiscus coconut shrimp ceviche with tangerine & chive flowers, and a hamachi crudo decorated with cilantro flowers, citrus flowers and radish flowers.
Try hIs fennel arugula salad brightened with fennel flowers and pansies.
For an entree the mustard flower crusted lamb has beautiful arugula blossoms.
Be sure to order the rooibos-orange blossom cake sprinkled in a mosaic of pretty flower petals.
Sean at the bar was absolutely fantastic. Delicious drinks and outstanding service. We only had the chips with onion dip for bar food but it was tasty as well. Had breakfast here and ordered from the menu. Brioche French toast was delicious.
Recently, I was invited to Twenty/20 Grill & Wine Bar in Carlsbad, located in the Sheraton Resort & Spa. I rarely go all the way up to Carlsbad, but S and I thought that it’d be a fun experience!. It’s a pretty fancy hotel restaurant, with plenty of outdoor seating and a beautifully decorated interior. We were seated promptly, and I noticed as I was glancing around the restaurant, that Mary, of This Tasty Life, was there too, along with Jake and his son S (haha, I just noticed that there were two “S”s at this meal!). We were pretty excited to see each other and asked the hostess if we could just all sit together, since the more the merrier, right?
Had one of the best filet mignon steaks ever. Service was attentive. Atmosphere was quiet and elegant when we visited in September.
Great service & food the first night. waiter the second night was poor & inattentive.
Flavorful food. Slow service on Friday evening... Water not refilled, finished plates not removed, slow to get check. 8-13-2010
Great food. Excellent service. Just one caveat - check your bill closely, they tend to overcharge for items. Keep the menu handy to compare what you ordered against what they try to charge you. Otherwise, a fine restaurant.

...our favorites from last week included the above mentioned Roast Chicken Taco, the Korean Beef BBQ with Watermelon, Cucumber and Mint, as well as the Thai Chciken Vegetable Dumpling and the Tequila Lobster Bisque. Dessert featured Mini Cupcakes of either Red Velvet or Chocolate Truffle

Recently I was invited to go all the way up to Carlsbad land to check out a place called Twenty/20. It’s right next door to Legoland. When you pull into the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa (Twenty/20 one of those fancy hotel restaurants, after all) you can spy the different attractions down in Legoland without actually going to Legoland. Since I’m not under the age of 12, Legoland has very little hold over me, though S (who was along for the adventure) seemed a tad sad to see Legoland without stepping through it’s hallowed gates. Poor S. Maybe some other time. Here’s a peek at the dining lounge with it’s nice open air feel. Jake, S and I hadn’t been sitting at our table for too long before Jinxi popped over to say hi – she was there with S for dinner at the same time! We decided to immediately join forces and dine together since it’s just more fun that way. Twenty/20 has their menu available online so I’ll be lazy and only link to that and spare you from trying to make out tiny text in a photo. Instead, here’s a look at their happy hour offerings. 1/2 off tapas isn’t a bad deal if you ask me! [ maple bacon bourbon and colorado tin cup mule / $11 each ] Jake and I each had a drink.
