Calabria's Restaurant Castle Shannon

Rating: 4.5 Stars I have had Calabria's Restaurant several times previously, and each of these visits was dine-in. The restaurant is pretty nice. The bar is decent, and the dining area is fairly spacious with good lighting. At these previous visits, I always ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which is very tasty. For New Year's Eve 2020, we decided to do takeout. We had a large order, and they made no mistakes with our order, which is impressive given the number of takeout mistakes that I have experienced at other restaurants in 2020 (e.g., Totopo!). To start, my family ordered the Zucchini App. It had pretty good taste, and the marinara sauce complemented it incredibly well. The bread was very fresh and tasty, especially with the marinara sauce. Because 2021 is a new year(new me), I decided to order something different. Since I am a big fan of meatballs, I ordered the Meatball Casserole. It was really good, and the portion was very generous! The cheese on top was my only complaint. It was a little overwhelming, so I took a lot of it off. To be fair, this feature of the meal almost certainly would have been better dine-in--like most things that was better piping hot! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the marinara sauce was incredible. It had a nice sweetness with a little kick. The three meatballs were quite large and extremely flavorful. Yummy! I absolutely crushed this meal, and I wish that I had two, To conclude the meal, my sister ordered the Cannoli for dessert. I only had a small taste, but I am glad that I did. It had a nice crisp and great sweetness. Unless my mediocre tastebuds were deceiving me, I am pretty sure that I detected a hint of cinnamon. This was a great meal to conclude 2020 and ring in 2021! Give them the business in 2021!

They have yummy gnocchi. Really good cannolis. They have a nice out door seating with a fireplace.
