Very classy and elegant. Great for business meals. Pricy, but about what you'd expect for a place like this. All of the food from bread, to appetizer, salad and main meal were great. Good wine and drink selection as well.
the dining space was lovely. table was placed with little tasty pastries. I ordered the french toast brioche and cheddar bacon potatoes for breakfast. both were quite good. the cheese was completely melted over the potatoes and there was plenty of thick cut bacon pieces sprinkled throughout. the only negative part was a few of the larger potato chunks were not fully cooked making for a extremely crunchy bite.

Awesome service, ambience, and character. We went here for Breakfast/Brunch - and it was amazing. I definitely would recommend this place!
Wonderful. I've been here on both business as well as special occasions and I've never been disappointed in the service or the quality of the food. Modern decor, clean surroundings, polite and attentive staff make for an enjoyable experience.
Best place in CR! Fantastic service and great food.
The Mother's Day buffet is utterly fantastic.
Best kept secret in CR!
Tonight was my first visit to The Class Act. The hotel and restaurant are both very modern and elegant. I started with the bibb salad which was excellent. This was followed by a scallop small plate (also great) and the NY strip. The mushroom glaze on the steak was tasty.
Dessert was rhubarb crisp which was a great compliment to the dinner and the pinot noir.
Excellent job!
Nice place. I've eaten here twice during an event held at the hotel's conference center. I was favorably impressed. I tried a couple different sandwiches and both were very tasty with good presentation. This is a student run facility and the service was quite good. Nice modern interior...looks very classy.
Give it a try.... I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Thoroughly enjoyable meal. I was utterly shocked that such a meal could come out of a student experience culinary school. Much more European in the level of service and dining etiquette. A lovely change from the harried experience you normally expect. The wine selection is good and well priced for the flavor. The menu is worth delving into. Definitely spoil yourself and eat here. It is also well priced and parking is not an issue. MANGIA!
Urban Dining in a Small City. The Class Act is a restaurant attached to The Hotel at Kirkwood. Both operations are run by the Kirkwood Community College Hospitality Arts Program that trains students in hotel and restaurant management. For this reason, the restaurant is staffed by students. The staff is in training but are enthusiastic, attentive, and provide excellent service. And oh, the food is outstanding as well. Striving for a European style atmosphere, The Class Act offers great food. Offerings are usual seasonal and based on locally available products. Meals can be pricey but no more than what is typical in high quality urban restaurants. The Class act is highly recommended.
Bit on the pricy side but the students seem really eager to please, and the food is quite tasty
