This is the best place to get a cake! I live in Lakewood and drove all the way out here for my wedding cake. We tasted everywhere and compared prices, and NOBODY in denver compares to The Makery. We had the perfect wedding cake for the perfect price, thanks to them. The staff was so sweet every step of the way and the cake was so good there was none left after the wedding. My husband and I even got a honeymoon cake, and a year later we sould get an anniversary cake. I highly recommend them!
The Makery was absolutely fantastic! We tried all their flavors at a tasting about 9-10 months before our wedding and wanted to order every flavor. We ended up getting the red velvet with cream cheese frosting and raspberry filling. So so good! We got compliments all night and our guests loved it. Wonderful service (they delivered) and we are super excited for our anniversary cake. A+ book them and you won't regret it.
What can I say, The Makery created absolutely perfection for our wedding cake! We had some complex flavor combinations and every single one was amazing! The cake was a complete highlight, so beautiful! The Honey Moon cake was extra amazing to be able to enjoy in the days following our wedding. 10/10 recommend!
We loved our cake for our wedding in 11/2021. Our initial consultation with Dez went so great and she was very receptive to what we were looking for. Delivery was on time the day of and the cake looked even better than we had imagined it would. We would definitely recommend the Makery for future brides and grooms for their wedding day.
The Makery made my modern, minimalist wedding cake for my 7/17/21 wedding at Garden of the Gods Resort in Colorado Springs. From our initial consult and tasting to the day of, they were great! We went with a multiple tier styrofoam cake for presentation, with an ombre wafer paper design, and two sheet cakes for serving. Our flavors were Red Velvet (AMAZING) and a Pink Champagne cake with white chocolate filling and royal buttercream icing (YUM!). Our guests loved the cake! The wafer paper towards the bottom of the cake curled a bit in the humidity - but I don't blame anyone but the weather for that :) Highly recommend, so delicious!
Bought this bday cake for my daughter. The cake was a hit, and everyone mentioned how good it tasted. We even sent my aunt home with a big piece, & my uncle said it was so good he ate all of it 😂
The makery was such a pleasure to work with for our June wedding! We decided to do a variety of cupcakes for out 160 guests. The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious! Everyone loved them! The makery delivered our cupcakes to our venue and even had cake stand rentals which made things even easier! Additionally, the price points are reasonable and the people working here are great!!

Thank goodness for The Makery! Their work is just pure gold. They were super easy to work and went above and beyond with all the details for our wedding cake - Harry Potter-themed front with the back "curtain" opening up to a Star Wars theme making THE PERFECT Rebel Hallows wedding cake. Thank y'all so much for making our special day finish deliciously!
We were married in January 2020 and went through The Makery Cake Company for our wedding cake - they did a beautiful job (the cake fed well over 80 people) and it was a fun experience to go "cake tasting" at this place. The staff is friendly and makes it their duty to fulfill your "cake vision". Not only did we get our day-of wedding cake for guests, but they also sent us home with a special groom/bride cake to enjoy the night of our wedding. THEN one year later, we got an anniversary cake. 3 CAKES! It really made it that much more special to have a fresh anniversary cake that hadn't been frozen for a year. Really great place - pricey BUT they are competitive in what they offer to many of the surrounding businesses. Will be back for future cake/cupcake purchases.
