Walked into Jessie's and saw this sign hung on the counter below the cashier "IT AIN'T FOOD IF IT AIN'T FRIED". I better ordered something fried. I was craving for an Oyster Po'Boy anyway. The oysters were fresh and the batter was crispy. I liked the fact that the sandwich was not overdressed to allow the delicate flavor of the oyster still coming through. I took away one star because the sandwich did not come with any sides and had to pay extra. I will be back to try the "non-food" items.
Very good. Authentic flavors overall. I highly recommend.
My man Jessie and his team are turning out some of THE best authentic Cajun food in Denver. I'm from NOLA and my Mama is 100% Cajun. I grew up on all that amazing food, so I know! Thanks for a taste of home!! ~Sammy
Phenomenal.
The Po-boy is highly recommended, all of the ingredients made how you'd wish: fresh baked light bread with a crunchy crust with cool tomatoes, quality lettuce and mayo contrasted with flavorful hot sauce and divinely fried seafood.
The corn bread, we will probably come back just for the corn bread 🤤. Buttery with stray kernels of corn, tender and sweet.
The gumbo dish and the red beans & rice with sausage was also top notch.
We will be back, especially for the live music nights.
When you have southern passion, southern work ethic, and a food truck that crafts such amazing flavors, be ready to become one of the most beloved kitchens in the Denver area. Jessie’s Smokin' NOLA is a must-try for anyone who wants a taste of authentic cajun cuisine. Jessie’s darn good menu with darn good staff who have unmatched discipline will have you coming for more. The cleanliness is unmatched, the dining area is surveyed by the team who are always attentive to any messes made. Staff is on standby for any of your needs while commenting and asking how the food is tasting. You can really tell how much care they put into the food and the overall atmosphere makes you feel like you’re at home with family all around you. You will find flavors you’ll recognize from your childhood or textures and flavors you’d find in one of your favorite places to eat. I invite you to be fascinated, impressed, and begging for more.
Best Oyster Po Boy I've had outside of Southern Louisiana. Great atmosphere...i felt like I was walking into a familiar place in Gretna or Metairie. Great gumbo too! Highly recommended!

Best Cajun food I’ve had outside NOLA. Was born there and my entire heritage is River parishes/southwest Mississippi, so I grew up eating Cajun home cooking. Red beans are fantastic, poboys are too. Haven’t tried the catfish yet but it’s next on my list, every time I see some come out the kitchen it looks amazing!
This restaurant is definitely something to try they will not let you down at all and the food is amazing. Good New Orleans food not shipped in but made fresh I. House.
