OMG THE THAI DRUNKEN NOODLES!
I love the noodles so much. Delicious taste, so flavorful, awesome! This is my to go order forever. I especially love the texture, how perfectly cooked the noodles are. Chewy, juicy and yummy. 10/10 for the noodles. The service is amazing too, refilling is on time, doesn’t let me wait for sips a lot. Cozy atmosphere with sweet service. Love this place so much!

I visited most recently on a Thursday evening to get some comfort takeout. The ordering online went rather smoothly, and my order was waiting for me when I arrived a couple of minutes after the stated time. The ability to customize your order for spice level, added proteins or veggies, salt level, and the like works well for me mostly. The service routinely looks like what you would expect from a family-run establishment. Try to time your order so you are waiting on the food rather than the food waiting on you so your order retains its freshness and thermal heat.
I ordered hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings, stir fry with vegetables (adding shrimp), and both the mango mousse and chocolate mousse cakes. The soup portion was satisfying with a milder spice level as I requested. The dumplings felt and tasted house made. The stir fry has a generous protein portion and crisp veggies without a lot of excess sauce. Both flavors of mousse cake provides a welcome finish instead of the stereotypical fortune cookie, as the mousse proved smooth while the cake remained relatively moist.
Prices seemed reasonable for the Chantilly area and provide a good value. I consider Cheng’s as one of the better places for Chinese eats in their neighborhood.
With dietary restrictions, it's hard for me to find good gluten free food. This place is amazing. Everything I tried has been delicious (Taiwanese style rice noodles and fried rice). My husband has enjoyed the Sesame chicken and orange chicken also! The staff is kind and always ensures we have everything we need.
Amazing food, amazing staff. Everyone is kind and cares about their diners. They have options for vegetarians, though if you want to sample their menu you may have to ask for custom orders. They also have a well labled menu of gluten free options. They also give huge portions, which match their 12-15 dollar prices. If you're not a big eater, you'll be taking home leftovers for sure! (And if you are, you'll likely enjoy this place a lot lol)
This place was amazing!! The food was sooo good and the people running it were so friendly and provided great service. This was some of the best Asian/Chinese food that I have ever had!!
The food is pretty good. I do not feel that they use much MSG. Service is nice , esp the owner is very friendly.
Flambe is a must try.
I've been reluctant to review Cheng's Asian House since I've eating here before and wasn't too impressed in the past. But some establishments do find a way to resurrect and rather successfully too. Having eaten lunch here recently, these three entrees (Taiwanese popcorn chicken, Sichuan dry fried eggplant, braised whole pork shank, and chive with tofu stirfry) shown in uploaded pics changed my mind. I have eaten here several times and the truly good Sichuan/Taiwanese entrees earned 5 stars in my book.
The Sichuan dry fried eggplant and braised whole pork shank are the star menu items - and must try!

I found Cheng's through yelp, and decided to visit on a Sunday night. I normally go to Maryland to get my Chinese fix, and was excited to find this place that is closer to the Fairfax area. The restaurant had a very solid stream of patrons seated, and coming in for take out. They also had a tiki bar, which was different but looked fun. It was our first time here and I wanted to order some dishes I was familiar with. We ordered the Beef noodle soup, the three pepper chicken, spicy fish hot pot (we ordered the small, but it was fairly large imo), and salt and pepper shrimp/scallop (which they call "Scallop and Shrimp with Spices". Everything came out fairly quickly. The food also came with a large bowl of rice to share.
Everything either met or exceeded my expectations. The standouts were the beef noodle soup and spicy fish hot pot. The three pepper chicken was a little saltier than I would have liked but it was fine when eaten with rice. The service was also wonderful. We were checked on multiple times by several people to make sure everything was okay. All the employees were more than welcoming. Would definitely return to try more things on the menu.
This place was awesome. Nice and quiet and the people were all really polite. The food was really good. Big portions. Definitely authentic. Absolutely worth a shot if you are in the mood for Chinese food. The food comes out hot so be careful. And give the fried rice a try, you won't be disappointed.
Both of the dishes we ordered were amazing. We ordered scallion pancake, which was very nice.
Service was solid. We were very comfortable sitting in the restaurant.
