The food was amazing! I ordered the honey butter and my husband ordered the club. It came with 2 pieces of chicken on both sandwiches. The chicken was very tender and juicy. I chose mild heat and it was just the right amount of spice and flavor. I wish we had a location in North Carolina.
Reminds me of 5 guys but with chicken ! I ordered the HOT OG Nashville & my girlfriend got non spicy chicken tenders, she said they were great.
The sandwich I got has this rubbed on spice that sort of melts into the moist chicken breast - it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was impressed. The service was delightful I can't wait to come back again
Very clean location and has good staff. My only complaint is the spice level, compared to other roaming rooster locations, the extra hot sandwich here was very mild for me. The other locations like the original Bladensburg location have extra hot, and their extra hot means business.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean (if limited) seating area, clever puns on the posters. Good portion sizes for the price. Food was tasty to boot!
And my wife says to add "they have THE good ice."
I got the OG nashville burger (mild) with their hand cut fries and it was one of the best burger place ive been too! Their cole slaw is definitely one of the best tasty ones ive eaten so far and it really matches well with the crispyness of the chicken.
Will come back to try the honey butter sandwich too.
Their spiciness level is not that bad so even if you are bad with spicy things, medium should be perfect
Randomly wanted to try this for lunch, but it might be worth of a return visit when we're in the area. Chicken was well-cooked and juicy. Great heat levels. I'm particular about anything claiming to be "Nashville Hot chicken" and this was an ok attempt (not quite right, but tasty enough I would have it again).
Would love to see you add a kids meal because prices and portions were a little big for our family, but we left happy with leftovers.
Tried OG Nashville sandwich 'extra hot'. It was screaming HOT. I would try 'hot' the next time around.
Chicken was perfectly cooked. Crunchy on the outside and soft/juicy on the inside. It comes with 2 pieces of chicken and was very filling.
Fried could be better as it was a mix of soggy and crunchy ones.
Wanted to love this place, but I sabotaged myself. Ordered the hot, and man, it was hot. Absolutely not the restaurants fault. Everything was fresh, fries were crispy, hot, and enough for four people. Sandwich was piping hot, and assembled well, just... Wow.... Hot. I'm gonna go see them when I get time and tone it down a notch.
First time trying Roaming Rooster after sister recommended it, and definitely loved it. I got the OG Nashville with mild spice flavorwith cole slaw and pickles and the rooster sauce on the side. Chik fil a was my fav chicken sandwich before and I’d say this is a 5 if chick fil a is a 4. Definitely super filling too though, no need for any sides with this sandwich. Had three pieces of chicken in my sandwich and the coleslaw and pickles were a great combo with and and especially the sauce. I’d recommend ordering ahead for pickup as the place isn’t that big for sitting down. Will definitely get again.
My wife really liked the food and I thought it was pretty good but not the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Service was very good. The only two things I can see that they could improve upon is wiping down the chairs as some of them were sticky from being dirty and I think the price point was slightly high.
