If you are looking for Authentic Indian cuisine Athidhi is your place to eat. The staff greeted me at the door right away, the restaurant is very clean and the time it took from placing the order my food came out at the proper time.
Eating the food is delicious, it was warm and had a fuzzy feeling going down my mouth.
All I have to say is you must try this food you won’t regret!!!
This restaurant is located by Route-50, near to Costco Chantilly. Very to close to Fairfax (May be 15 minutes drive for Herndon/Reston people). Went there for a dinner. All the food tasted very good and delicious. It is more of Andhra style food, so for someone who likes spicy South Indian style food, this is the place.
After the ownership change, they are going through some restructuring and I was told they are working on re-introducing the buffet in a month or two.
Hey Folks, Here is a few things i like to share here for others like me who prefer to look into a few reviews to before planning to visit a new place they never tried before.
I try to visit them at least once or twice a month, based on my drive route as they are on Chantilly highway, the best food I like here is the buffet, with various options to choose from, which they keep rotating, including a salad option to choose from.
Various types of dosas that I keep ordering them alternatively to taste all of them possible, I am not a fan of oily foods, but once in a while??? It's okay!
Heads up! Their event hall beside is a perk for folks that are concerned about their budget hesitations for big venues, this can be considered an option for throwing out a small party for friends and also small official meetings. Here I like to share a few pictures of the hall that I photographed.
Amazing Indian food! Absolutely loved the Kadhai Paneer and Tikki chat. Their portions are generous as well (especially the Vegetable chow mein!). We felt family atmosphere and was very happy to receive personalized attention from Gayatri. The staff is very welcoming, polite, and attentive. Would love to come back when we are back in the area. Also, we will definitely recommend them to our family and friends in New York and Virginia. Thank you for your great service.🙏

We booked the banquet hall at Athidhi for a birthday event. The event area is spacious with good space for decor and tables for the guests. The food is served in a buffet manner in a separate room with some more seating options.
Staff here provided an exceptional service for the event, wrt booking, suggestions on menu options, clear instructions on the dos and donts, recos for decorators, setting up the banquet hall.
Food was delicious. We ordered a mix of generic items and one or two new items, and it was well appreciated by the guests. We had ordered for 37 guests and due to the flu season, almost 7-8 could not make it, but we found the quantity of the food to be very less for the 37 headcount we had ordered for. It always looked like there was not enough food on the trays and people had to hold back when it came to taking more. If only the team had refilled it in a timely manner and made sure all the food we ordered was served, it would have been a great experience on the food front as well.
Overall, we had a good experience working with people who were very welcoming and accommodating at the restaurant. Room for improvement would be wrt making food quantity available for the order that has been made, accessible in a timely manner for the guests.
Great party place. We had lots of good feedback on food -tasty and fresh. Ramesh was very cooperative and made sure the food got on time. This is a perfect place for any kind of party. Laxmi was very helpful gave us very good suggestions, gave us enough time for decorations. We really loved and enjoyed our event here. We definitely recommend this place.
I ordered food from them after a long time. Overall it was good, specially the dosa and accompaniments and gulab jamuns. I was not too impressed by their chicken prep on a starter though, prolly something to be worked on. But overall I still like this place compared to many other restaurants arnd.
Food (we had South Indian veg) at the restaurant was amazing. All orders were fresh and tasty(touch to the spicy side, but that is how we preferred). I wish they had buffet option though. The service was excellent. It was surprising that it was pretty much empty being a weekend. But, all in all, we had a good experience. The patron in charge provided a good service. I recommend folks to check out this place if you like a good tasting south Indian cuisine.
AMAZING JUST AMAZING the people who work there were amazing he was so nice I forgot his name but he has been in the cooking business for 20 years and he just come to America and started cooking g Indian food which was just splendid! As a Indian I have not ate such amazing food since India! The head chef and everyone working there did a amazing job!
Some context how we ended up there. We were coming out of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and were hungry and that's when we found this gem nearby so I would definitely recommend this place!!!
Also give that man a raise he was so nice!
Absolutely great food. They had okra curry with peanuts just as my abuelita cooks. It reminded me of her cooking. For one meal I felt content. I am sorry for any inconvenience I caused. I don't know better. The chef is phenomenal. The dish is so perfect and can see the finesse of the culnary skills.
