Just recently raised my review from 3 to 4 stars. The cookies and mini pastries are spectacular. Will have to work my way through the cakes next. Might up it to five stars. The macarons were a bit less crisp than my wife would have liked, but I blame that on the humidity and transport (I took too long enjoying the sunshine, nothing against the bakery), otherwise they were wonderful.
I wrote this bakery off a few years ago when I went in looking for bread or rolls and all they had were sweets. But recently, at a large family gathering we bought two cakes and ended up arguing over which of the two was the best cake ever. Today we had a smaller gathering and all of us wanted to take home some black forest cake. So, 3 cakes in a row were absolute winners. I recommend this bakery unconditionally.
Probably the best cake I've ever had was from here. I ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse inside covered in chocolate frosting. It was amazing. It's a delicate balance when dealing with that much chocolate and not making it overly sweet. It was light and moist.
Also, do yourself a favor and get a few hand pies to go. Blueberry and cherry are my favorites and lemon is my wife's favorite.

We found Woodland Bakery online and ordered a Coconut Lemon cake from them for a birthday party we were throwing. I didn't have time to stop into the bakery to order the cake, so I ordered over the phone. Every staff member I spoke with at Woodland Bakery over the phone was very kind, patient and professional. They described the cake to me beautifully and I felt confident ordering the cake over the phone from a bakery I haven't seen. We picked the cake up and it was BEAUTIFUL! The cake was absolutely perfect! Then the real test came when us and all our guests ate the cake. The cake was SO GOOD that we hardly had any leftover. MANY THANKS to Woodland Bakery for baking the most YUMMY cake!! It was one of the freshest cake's I've had and not overly sweet. I would highly recommend them.
This bakery is amazing. We tried a little bit of everything, and everything was dekicious- my favorite were the oatmeal raisin cookie, the peanut butter cookie, and the brownie bite. Absolutely amazing. Plus the owner Lori is so sweet and personable. Will definitely be back!
Such a fantastic bakery! Staff is incredibly friendly and make you feel like they've known you forever! I am not normally an oatmeal cookie lover but my GOODNESS. I want to roll around in a pile of these and eat every last one. Crazy delicious! We picked up a pecan bar for my father in law and his exact words were *they certainly know how to make a pecan bar" a little out of the way for us, but we would not hesitate to use them again for a special occasion .
BEST. CRUMB. CAKE. EVER. I cook pretty well in my own right, so I appreciate REALLY good food. I usually make my own cakes, though baking is not my forte, because I am usually disappointed. The cookies are delicious and the crumb cake is hands down the best I have had ever had! Not too sweet, thin and moist cake with a thick piling of the best not too sweet, salty, hint of cinnamon DELICIOUS crumb.Perfectly balanced. They got this thing RIGHT!
This is our Saturday go-to for my 97 yr old Dad. He loves the crumb bun and Hammentashen cookies. Nancy and crew revived the classic Woodland crumb bun which my Dad is currently devouring! They are kind and warm and I’m so grateful the bakery survived Covid!
Love this place their dessert is great fresh and always available
