Wow. Small pub in a town about a small as it gets. What a gem. The food, especially on Friday night for the fish fry, is awesome. Between us, our group ordered every fish dish offered and we loved all of them. The fried versions were perfectly done, with no greasiness at all. How'd they do that? And you must to try their home made potato chips. Crispy without being burned. You also have to order something that includes the jumbo fried shrimp, done perfectly. It's not on the menu but they offer a side of the shrimp that's an absolute bargain for the 10 large shrimp you get. Someone has put together a fun menu, and someone in the kitchen really knows what they're doing. We're headed back.
Incredibly friendly staff, well made drinks, and they still have cheap beer prices. The sandwich today was their Bourbon BBQ HamBurger. Actually had some deli style shaved ham on top of the beef burger with cheese and a Bourbon BBQ sauce. If I wasn't in the company of the general public, I would have licked my plate. It was great and I highly recommend it!
Returned 10/21/23 - Staff is still on point and food is great!
Best fish fry and homemade cheesecake in Alger and Marquette Counties! Well worth the drive to Chatham. Outstanding service, too. Under new ownership since 2022.
Great neighborhood bar with awesome service. The food was delicious! Well definitely go back again next time we are in the area. Did I say they hit it out of the park with thirsty Thursday? Bottled beer $1.50 each. Score!!!
Had the toasted cheese sandwich with fries. My wife had a apple cranberry salad. She told me it very good. Mine filled me up! "B" is a great waitress! 😊
Very small village pub with good food. Really friendly staff and the ambiance was relaxing with low music. Good size portions and great prices. I would recommend this place.
I had the Club and my friend had the tacos. Everything was Amazing. Will go again. Pepsi products and full bar.
Food was great, very nice waitress! Good stop on the snowmobile trail
Checked into my cozy warm motel room (Village Inn) yesterday evening after driving 450 miles up from Detroit through blinding snow. Fortunately, the pub was open and HOPPING with customers (noisy snowmobile peeps mostly). Great selection of beers on draft and a great server behind the bar. Ordered the "club" which was GY-normous and came with french frieds that I gobbled down. GREAT PLACE!
Good place people were cool everyone was super respectful and friendly. Until we all got to know one another. 🤣🤣🤣 Now we all buds and I can't wait to see them all next year
